*It's a bird, it's a plane... *
*It's a spate of UFO sightings that put Gulf Breeze on the extraterrestrial
map*

GULF BREEZE — Santa Rosa County Commissioner John Broxson was always a
skeptical person.
He never believed the stories of Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster or
unidentified flying objects.
But something happened nearly 20 years ago to make him change his mind on at
least one of those phenomena.
"Frankly, I saw something that blew my mind," Broxson said. "It's a mystery
to me. It just looked like something I wasn't expecting to see.
"I didn't want to see one and have people thinking I was weird. That's the
only time I can recall seeing something that weird."
Broxson was entertaining friends at his home in the Villa Venyce subdivision
when something outside caught his attention. He went out for a closer look.
Something bright was hovering above his home: a parade of lights of
different colors and intensity. He quickly had his wife, Christina, and
their friends come out to see it for themselves. No one knew what they were
watching.
The unidentified flying object hovered for several moments before quickly
flying straight up until it was out of sight.
Broxson was not alone in having an unexplained sighting. Today marks the
20th anniversary of when former Gulf Breeze resident Edward Walters first
saw a UFO flying above his yard, launching a period of sightings, seekers
and fame for the area.
* *
*ED WALTERS | Special to the Daily News *
*Ed Walters took this photograph of a purported UFO hovering over County
Road 191-B east of Gulf Breeze in January 1988. Walters provided the photo
to the Daily News in 1990 to coincide with the publication of his first
book, "The Gulf Breeze Sightings."*
Walters has said his Nov. 11, 1987, sighting was the first of more than 100
sightings and abductions he experienced over a six-year period. He wrote
three books on UFOs and the Gulf Breeze sightings, but has since moved to
Pensacola and no longer speaks to the media.
The truth is out there
While Walters was the most outspoken person at the time to report seeing
UFOs in Gulf Breeze, he was by no means the only person. People from around
the world visited in hopes of seeing something unexplained after The Gulf
Breeze Sentinel ran a story and photo about Walters.
Many of those people were not disappointed, said Don Ware, eastern regional
director of the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON.
Between 1987 and the end of 1993, when most of the sightings ended, Ware
said hundreds of people reported seeing UFOs in Gulf Breeze. Walters and
others took more than 125 photographs of supposed UFOs just between Nov. 11,
1987, and May 1, 1988, Ware said.
"I think probably over half the people in America have seen something in the
sky that they didn't know what it was," Ware said. "Most of those people
have probably seen an alien vehicle. I know I have seen alien vehicles."
MUFON is a national UFO investigative organization founded in 1969 in
Illinois. Ware, a Fort Walton Beach resident who retired from the Air Force
in 1982, has spent much of the past 25 years investigating UFO activity.
Ware became fascinated by UFOs after a series of sightings over Washington,
D.C., in July 1952. He said he saw his first UFO on Sept. 12, 1989.
The Gulf Breeze sightings set off a media frenzy, and the community of about
6,000 residents became one of the country's UFO capitals.
"These phenomenons happened so often that Gulf Breeze became the center for
these E.T. observations," Broxson said. "I thought (the Gulf Breeze
sightings) had been a hoax all this time. Just some people seeing something
with very active imaginations."
After his own sighting, Broxson became less skeptical.
The hoax
Questions over the validity of the UFO sightings started almost as soon as
the sightings themselves.
Phillip Klass, an investigator for what is now known as the Committee for
Skeptical Inquiry, studied the Gulf Breeze sightings and wrote his own book
declaring them a massive hoax.
Klass passed away a couple years ago, but CSI executive director Barry Karr
said he believes the accuracy of his former colleague's work.
"I really don't think there's any question the Gulf Breeze sightings were a
hoax," Karr said. "There are things in the sky that can't be identified,
especially near an air base. Just because it can't be identified doesn't
mean it's a visitor from another planet."
The biggest piece of evidence pointing to a hoax was a UFO model constructed
from drafting paper and paper plates reportedly discovered in Walters'
former home after he had moved out.
Ware said he believes CSI workers planted the model and then informed the
media of its location to debunk the validity of Walters' sightings.
"They try to debunk all the things that people see that they don't want
understood too well," Ware said.
Karr laughed at the idea his organization planted the model to debunk the
UFO stories.
"That's just hilarious," Karr said. "No, our organization did not plant the
model. We're not that large of an organization."
Karr said he believes after word of the UFO sightings in Gulf Breeze started
to break, everyone wanted to see one so much that they let their imagination
get carried away.
One video he has seen of a "Gulf Breeze UFO" ended up being a flare shot
into the air. Karr said pieces of the flare are clearly visible falling away
from the larger flare in the tape.
The legacy
During the late '80s and early '90s, UFOs became synonymous with Gulf
Breeze. Businesses up and down the Emerald Coast took advantage of the UFO
sightings to profit off the experience.
Club 51, the adult entertainment club on U.S. Highway 98 in Wynnhaven Beach,
was originally called Area 51 after the supposed hidden military base in
Roswell, N.M. UFO Motors was a used car dealership that operated in Midway
for several years. A 1993 Associated Press article reported that Gulf Breeze
restaurants sold a four-scoop UFO Sundae and a UFO Vegetarian Pizza. Stores
also sold UFO jewelry, watches and books.
Nearby Pensacola even hosted the International UFO Symposium in 1990.
While it's been about 14 years since the period of the Gulf Breeze sightings
ended, people still look to the sky and occasionally see something
unexplained.
Cedric Cadow of Okaloosa Island never believed in UFOs. That changed after
he said he saw two last month after leaving his home.
Cadow saw two bright orange oval discs hovering above Fort Walton Beach. The
two discs emerged from behind the clouds and one hovered stationary while
the other descended toward the ground, eventually going out of sight before
coming back up.
The two UFOs then sped away, one to the east and the other to the north, in
a flash of light that did not make any sound. It all lasted about 12
seconds, Cadow said.
"I couldn't believe it," he said. "I almost fell to the ground. I had never
seen anything like it before. I thought it was all B.S. before. It's not."

UFO Close Encounters
The Reality as Seen by Former High Level Government and Military Officials
Pilots to Tell Their UFO Stories for the First Time
Group to call on US Government to Re-Open its Investigation
*
The American public is not alone when it comes to sighting what the US Air
Force has labeled Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). So too have former
governors, high level military and government officials, highly trained
airplane pilots and aviation experts. The phenomenon is real. It happens
worldwide. No one is sure about its nature. Experts from seven countries
will divulge what they have discovered about UFOs at a November 12 panel
discussion moderated by former Arizona Governor Fife Symington (R) at the
National Press Club.
Just one year ago, pilots, mechanics and managers from United Airlines
witnessed a metallic disc-shaped object hovering over the United Airlines
Terminal at Chicago's O'Hare Airport. The clearly observed object shot
straight up leaving a hole through the clouds. Despite the clear aviation
safety issues involved, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) never
investigated the incident and dismissed it as weather. This
head-in-the-clouds refusal to investigate stands in sharp contrast to
efforts by governments of other countries to understand these incidents.
"I believe that our government should take an active role in investigating
this very real phenomenon," said Symington, who was a witness to the famed
'Phoenix Lights" incident seen by hundreds in Arizona while he was governor.
"This panel consists of some of the most qualified people in the world with
direct experience in dealing with this issue, and they will bring
incredible, irrefutable evidence, some never presented before, that we
simply cannot dismiss or ignore," he said.
The group, using previously classified documents, will discuss many
well-documented cases, including two investigated by the US government. The
first involves a Peruvian Air Force pilot who fired many rounds at a UFO
which was not affected. The second was an Iranian Air Force pilot's attempt
to fire at a UFO, but whose control panel became inoperable. "This case is a
classic that meets all the necessary conditions for a legitimate study of
the UFO phenomenon," stated the US Defense Intelligence Agency document on
the Tehran incident. Both pilots will come forward to speak about these
events publicly for the first time. 2

*UFOs invade presidential debate*
Kucinich claims he saw one, and Richardson says the government should 'come
clean' about the Roswell, N.M., incident. And then there's Shirley MacLaine.
By Robin Abcarian, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
November 1, 2007
Presidential candidates have flip-flopped on taxes, abortion, gun control
and the war. But rarely has one flip-flopped on flying saucers.
Until now.
In September, a spokeswoman for Dennis J. Kucinich dismissed a report
emanating from a Washington conference about UFOs that the Ohio congressman
had a close encounter with one.
"If you have a serious question, just ask me," Kucinich staffer Natalie
Laber instructed a Washington Post reporter who inquired about Kucinich's
knowledge of UFOs. "If not, then just keep your silly comments to yourself."
But Tuesday night, Kucinich had no wiggle room when moderator Tim Russert
posed this question *during the Democratic debate in
Philadelphia*<http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21528787/>
:
"The godmother of your daughter, Shirley MacLaine, writes in her new book
that you've sighted a UFO over her home in Washington state, that you found
the encounter extremely moving, that it was a triangular craft silent and
hovering, that you felt a connection to your heart and heard direction in
your mind. Now, did you see a UFO?"
Replied Kucinich: "I did."
Kucinich, whom other candidates seemed to regard as a creature from outer
space when he called for President Bush's impeachment during the debate, did
not elaborate much. He joked about moving his campaign headquarters to
Roswell, N.M., site of the country's most famous alleged UFO crash. This, in
fact, is why a second presidential candidate, New Mexico Gov. Bill
Richardson, was drawn into the fray.
When Chris Matthews, in a post-debate interview on MSNBC, asked Richardson
what he thought of Kucinich's response to the UFO question, Richardson
smiled, giggled a little and explained that as governor of a state that
depends on the UFO-enthralled tourist dollar, he was not in a position to
criticize. (Though, he hastened to add, he has never personally seen a UFO.)
He also said it was time for the government to "come clean" on the Roswell
matter.
Matthews began to sputter in disbelief, but as it happens, Richardson was
not boldly going where no one had gone before. Richardson has said many
times that the mystery surrounding the alleged 1947 crash in Roswell has
never been adequately explained. "Clearly," he wrote in a forward to a 2004
book about the crash, "it would help everyone if the U.S. government
disclosed everything it knows."
Kucinich is not the first presidential aspirant to report seeing a UFO.
According to numerous media accounts, when Jimmy Carter was governor of
Georgia in 1973, he filed a report with the International UFO Bureau in
Oklahoma City claiming that he'd seen an unidentified glowing object four
years earlier in Leary, Ga. He said later that he did not believe the object
to be an alien craft, and some "ufologists," as specialists call themselves,
think he saw a halo around the planet Venus.
Ronald Reagan believed he had seen UFOs at least twice -- once on the coast
while driving to Hollywood with his wife, Nancy, and once, as governor of
California, while flying on a plane near Bakersfield. In "Landslide," their
1988 book about Reagan's second term, journalists Doyle McManus, The Times'
Washington bureau chief, and Jane Mayer, now of the New Yorker, wrote that
Reagan's staff worked hard to keep the UFO sighting stories under wraps.
And that's easy to understand, since, as Alejandro T. Rojas, who handles
media relations for the Mutual UFO Network, pointed out, "It's typically an
issue used on politicians to make them look bad."
But, added Rojas, whose group investigates UFO sightings as well as reports
of alien abductions, he was happy to see the issue raised in a presidential
forum. "It's great because the debate highlighted it."
And, he said, as odd as it may seem, many presidents have dealt with the
mysteries of UFOs. The website www.presidentialufo.com elaborates on UFOs
and how presidents have dealt with them back to Franklin D. Roosevelt.
MacLaine, whose book "Sage-ing While Age-ing" is out Tuesday, did not return
phone calls.

ROUND ROCK, Texas — If he wins his bid for the White House, Democratic
presidential candidate Bill Richardson may be just the man to get to the
bottom of the 60-year-old Roswell UFO mystery.
Answering questions at a townhall meeting Friday, a Dell employee asked
Richardson about the 1947 incident in which many people still believe a
flying saucer landed near the eastern New Mexico town.

*Witness to Roswell flying saucer incident tells his story
*
*By Pat Sherman*
TODAY'S LOCAL NEWS
October 26, 2007
ESCONDIDO – Retired Air Force veteran Milton Sprouse clearly remembers the
summer day in 1947 when he returned to Roswell Army Air Field aboard the
B-29 bomber Dave's Dream from a three-day maneuver in Florida. The Escondido
resident, then a corporal and engine mechanic in the Army Air Forces could
not believe what his ground crew was telling him: a UFO had crashed in the
New Mexico desert, on a ranch 70 miles away.
The story made the front page of the Roswell Daily Record: "RAAF Captures
Flying Saucer," read the headline.
According to the July 8 story, "the intelligence office of the 509th
Bombardment group at Roswell Army Air Field announced ... that the field has
come into possession of a flying saucer."
The craft supposedly had been recovered after the ranch owner notified the
sheriff's department, who sent Maj. Jesse Marcel and a team to investigate.
"Marcel and a detail from his department went to the ranch and recovered the
disk," the story stated. "After the intelligence officer here had inspected
the instrument it was flown to higher headquarters." The next day, the paper
retracted the story, claiming that the recovered object was a weather
balloon – an account the government stuck with until 1995. It was then
announced that the weather ballon story had been fabricated to cover up
Project Mogul, a top-secret project involving two-dozen high-altitude
neoprene balloons designed to detect Russian nuclear explosions.
According to Sprouse, five of his crew were called to the site to collect
the remaining debris and load it onto a flatbed truck. Sprouse was ordered
to stay with Dave's Dream in case the military should suddenly need the
craft.
"I had reservations of what all they were telling me, because each one of
them told something different," he said. "I thought, 'I don't know.' ...
Later on, when it all started coming out in piecemeal, you could put it
together and tell what they said was true."
As years passed, Sprouse grew more comfortable talking about the Roswell
Incident.
Author and ufologist Thomas J. Carey interviewed Sprouse three times with
co-author Donald Schmitt. Sprouse is mentioned on page 233 of their new
book, "Witness to Roswell: Unmasking the 60-Year Cover-Up."
During his first interview, videotaped at the International UFO Museum and
Research Center in Roswell, Sprouse was reluctant to talk about the
incident, Carey said.
"He was a career Air Force guy, and they're the least likely to speak
because of their pensions," Carey said. "When I interviewed him over the
phone in 2001, I got a little more information, and then I interviewed him
again last year and got even more. It was an evolution of coming forward."
Today, as Sprouse recounts the incident, he leans forward in earnest, a
conspiratorial gleam in his eyes.
About 500 soldiers sent to the crash site were lined shoulder to shoulder
and ordered to scour the property for debris, he said.
"They lined them up and then said, 'We want you to go through this ranch the
way you're facing until we tell you to stop, and we want you to pick up
everything unnatural,'" Sprouse said.
"When my crew got back (from the crash site), we talked for weeks," he said.
"They told me everything and I believe them.... They told me, 'Milt, it's
true.' "
Among the material discovered was a maleable, foil-like material that could
be laid flat with no creases after being squashed into a ball.
Whether fact or lore, one of the most intriguing pieces of the puzzle are
reports of five diminutive green bodies allegedly recovered with the UFO.
Sprouse believes it.
A staff sergeant in his barracks was called to the hospital shortly after
the crash, he said.
"He and two doctors and two nurses were in the emergency room, and they
brought in one of those five humanoid bodies that they had recovered," he
said. "They said, 'We want this dissected and we want a complete history of
how it functions and the parts and everything.' "
The next day, the man from his barracks was transferred from the base,
Sprouse said.
"We never heard from him again," he said. "We asked and (they said), 'Oh, we
don't know nothing about it.' ... I heard later that both nurses and both
doctors were shipped different directions and nobody ever knew where they
went."
Sprouse recalled an interesting conversation with the owner of a funeral
home in Roswell several years later.
"We had some friend of ours that died, and he said, 'Hey Milt, I want to
talk to you,' " he said. "He says, 'You know the base come to me and wanted
five children's caskets.' That was two or three days after the crash. I
said, 'No kidding.' He says, 'I only had one, and I told them that.' They
said, 'One won't do us very good,' and they went somewhere else and got
them."
The day the UFO story ran, the debris was allegedly loaded onto two B-29
bombers, one of them Dave's Dream, and sent to a base in Fort Worth, Texas.
Sprouse and Carey believe the material was then shipped to Wright-Patterson
Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, where they say it remains today.
"We believe some of the stuff was loaned around, but the main repository was
the foreign technology division at Wright-Patterson," said Carey, who holds
a master's degree in anthropology and served briefly in the Air Force.
"We've heard stories over the years of people who say that they're still
trying to figure out what that stuff is."
Various rumors suggest that pieces of the ship and the bodies were stored in
a mysterious Hangar 18 at Wright-Patterson.
Derek Kaufman, who works in Wright-Patterson's public affairs office, was
tentative when broaching the subject of Roswell and Hangar 18. He said the
base tracks all such phone inquiries.
"We might get a couple of queries a month related to strange phenomena. ...
Someone who believes that they've seen something very unusual – low-flying,
strange aircraft or something along those lines," Kaufman said. "Folks who
are UFO enthusiasts are typically the people that inquire about Hangar 18 or
about Roswell, but a lot of them don't seem to be credible queries. They
seem to be folks bordering on the fanatic. ... I'm hard-pressed to describe
where Hangar 18 even is located."
Asked if there was any material from Roswell transferred to the base in
1947, Kaufman said, "I'll just defer to what reports have been exhaustively
investigated and are now available to the general public."
Wright-Patterson's Web site includes a section titled "UFOs and other
strange phenomena" that includes links to the Air Force Freedom of
Information Act Web site and a 993-page document titled, "The Roswell
Report: Fact Versus Fiction in the New Mexico Desert." In the report, the
government meticulously makes its case debunking the Roswell Incident.
According to the report, the bodies recovered at the site were not alien
beings, but crash-test dummies used to test high-altitude parachutes.
UFO enthusiasts say they couldn't have been dummies because the parachute
tests weren't conducted until nearly a decade later.
"That's a non-starter because that project didn't get under way until the
mid-'50s," Carey said. "These mannequins were a good 6 feet tall, they
looked human and they were in regular flight suits. There's no way you
confuse those for little aliens with big heads."
Asked if there are any remnants of the mysterious event stored at Roswell,
Rob Young, a historian with the National Air and Space Intelligence Center
at Wright-Patterson, answered, "I would not know. I've never seen anything
like that. ... To my knowledge there is not."
Sprouse believes the Roswell Incident is a far-reaching cover-up that leads
as far as the White House.
"The presidents are briefed on everything ... classified, unclassified,
whether they'll acknowledge it or not," Sprouse said. "Clinton, says, 'I
don't know nothing.' Carter says, 'I don't know nothing about that.' Bush
won't even talk about it."
Sprouse's wife, Peggy, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, is skeptical
about the UFO story. She's been to Roswell with her husband and said once
was enough.
"Been there, done that," she said. "I never did believe it and still don't
believe it."
Sprouse, who will speak at the Nov. 18 meeting of the San Diego Chapter of
the Mutual UFO Network, seems to be enjoying his part in keeping the story
alive.
Has the government ever asked him not to speak about Roswell?
"No, but I worry about it," he said. "I'm getting all these telephone calls
on that report, and I often wonder if it's somebody looking into this."

NASA to Search Files on UFO Incident
WASHINGTON (AP) — NASA has agreed to search its archives once again for
documents on a 1965 UFO incident in Pennsylvania, a step the space agency
fought in federal court.
The government has refused to open its files about what, if anything, moved
across the sky and crashed in the woods near Kecksburg, Pa., 40 miles
southeast of Pittsburgh.
Traffic was tied up in the area as curiosity seekers drove to the area, only
to be kept away from the crash site by soldiers.
The Air Force's explanation for the unidentified flying object: A meteor or
meteors.
"They could not find anything," one Air Force memo stated after a late-night
search on Dec. 9, 1965. Several NASA employees also were reported to have
been at the scene.
Eyewitnesses said a flatbed truck drove away a large object shaped like an
acorn and about the size of a Volksawagon bus. A mock-up based on the
descriptions of local residents sits behind the Kecksburg Volunteer Fire
Department.
UFO enthusiasts refused to let the matter die and journalist Leslie Kean of
New York City sued NASA four years ago for information.
The agency has turned over several stacks of documents which Kean says are
not responsive to the request, an argument that U.S. District Judge Emmet
Sullivan agreed with.
In March, Sullivan rejected NASA's request to throw the case out of court,
resulting in negotiations that led to the agency promising last week that it
will conduct a more comprehensive search.
Kean said Friday that she sued NASA rather than the Army because the space
agency a decade ago released some relevant documents on the case.

Aliens caused Sicily fires, say officials
http://news.scotsman.com/international.cfm?id=1714062007

Aliens were responsible for a series of unexplained fires in fridges,
TV's and mobile phones in an Italian village, according to an Italian
government report.
Canneto di Caronia, in northern Sicily, drew attention three years
ago after residents reported everyday household objects bursting into
flames.
TV news footage at the time showed electrical appliances as well as
cookers, a pile of wedding presents and furniture smouldering.
Dozens of experts including scientists, electrical engineers and
military boffins, arrived in the village 60 miles east of Palermo to
investigate the phenomenon.
Arson was quickly ruled out and at one stage an amazed scientist was
interviewed after he described how he saw an unplugged electrical
cable burst into flames.
Locals were quick to blame supernatural forces and at the time the
Vatican's chief exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth backed up their fears
and said: "I've seen things like this before. Demons occupy a house
and appear in electrical goods. Let's not forget that Satan and his
followers have immense powers."
Now in an interim leaked report published by several Italian
newspapers it has emerged that the Civil Protection Department has
concluded the most likely cause was "aliens".
The report was ordered by the Italian government and brought together
dozens of experts including a NASA scientist. Their two year
investigation has cost an estimated Ł1 million.
According to the report the fires were "caused by a high power
electro magnetic emissions which were not man made and reached a
power of between 12 and 15 gigawatts."
The report also detailed a possible UFO landing close to the village,
citing "burnt imprints which have not been explained were found in a
field."
Francesco Mantegna Venerando, Sicily's Civil Protection chief who
coordinated the report, said: "This is not the final report. We are
still working on our conclusions and this has been leaked.
"We are not saying that little green men from Mars started the fires
but that unnatural forces capable of creating a large amount of
electromagnetic energy were responsible.
"This is just one possibility we are also looking at another one
which involves the testing of top secret weapons by an unknown power
which are also capable of producing an enormous amount of energy."

*Several UFO Sightings from 1946*
This week's files cover: Shirley MacLaine claims Congressman Kucinich had
UFO encounter, August 2007 UFO Weather Map and the Bible Connection to UFOs.
Unidentified Aerial Phenomena were spotted over: Arizona, California,
Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri,
Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Vermont
Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington. UFOs were also seen in Argentina,
Canada, , Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Peru, and the UK.
These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists,
but my hypothesis is that the over one hundred UFOs reported each week
represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of
Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when I chased one over England
when flying for the US Air Force. I've been investigating them ever since.
The US Air Force under Project Blue Book investigated UFOs for more than
twenty years, we continue this research.
The Bible states, "*In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not
so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."* John 14-2 It
is my belief that God has spread intelligent civilizations throughout the
universe.

*Mark Naymik Cleveland Plain Dealer Politics Writer*:
Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich has claimed to have seen a
UFO, according to Shirley MacLaine in her new book, "*Sage-Ing While Age-Ing

Washington, when I lived there," the actress, a close Kucinich friend,
wrote. "Dennis found his encounter extremely moving. The smell of roses drew
him out to my balcony where, when he looked up, he saw a gigantic triangular
craft, silent, and observing him.
"It hovered, soundless, for 10 minutes or so, and sped away with a speed he
couldn't comprehend. He said he felt a connection in his heart and heard
directions in his mind." Snip

*August 2007 UFO Weather Map*
Steve Reichmuth writes, "The Summer of 2007 maybe a significant one. In the
four years consistently plotting the sighting data on these maps, the total
number of sightings this summer is unprecedented worldwide! August 2007 saw
Internet reports as remote and far away as the Gobi Desert in Mongolia.
See the totals....MUFON and NUFORC data world wide.....
May 2007 total sightings = 447.
June 2007 total sightings = 561 .
July 2007 total sightings = 543.
August 2007 total sightings = 633!!!!!!!
One report that I feel I must bring to attention is this one... a CE-3

*The Bible Connection to UFOs*
Gary Colin writes, "I've studied the Bible for about 40 years. About 1992,
I was inspired to take the name, "gat". In 2005, I wrote, "*Bible Symbolism
What It Means to Your Salvation*". The Bible associates the word, "gat" with
regeneration. I realized that regeneration is really a scientific "change"
as opposed to a spiritual one. I reinvestigated the Bible from a scientific
view point, and began to see that the Biblical clouds are the ships of God
(Psalms Chapter 104; Ezekiel Chapter 1).
I've also learned that God "sits" and rides in a "Mother Mountain" which He
calls "Jerusalem" or "Zion" (Galatians 4:26; Revelation 21:1-5; Matthew
24:30-34). The Bible promised that as our earthly life without "God's"
direct presence comes to its end, that "enlightened" information would be
given to us (Daniel Chapters 11 and 12). We've reached that time. The
"Elohim" of the Bible were "gods" supervised by the Almighty God to oversee
the creation and growth of humans. It will be these "Sons of the Gods
(Elohim)" who return at this world's end. Just as in the Days of Noah
(Genesis 6:1-10; Matthew 24:30-end). Thanks to Gary Colin

*SAN CARLOS INDIAN RESERVATION -- *I was on Lookout Point on hills looking
at lights south of Globe, around 9 PM, in 1946, when I was fourteen years
old. I was thinking that some of the lights might be bonfires on the San
Carlos Indian Reservation, but I began feeling uneasy. It was pitch dark and
very quiet at that time of night and I was several miles from town when I
saw a huge object that reminded me of a throwing discus; to my right were
two more of them. The craft appeared to be 300 feet or more in diameter and
flying in sort of a staggered trail formation. The first one was about 500
feet above me; the second was 50 feet to 100 feet higher. The last one was
about 50 to 100 feet above the second one.
I was on high ground, as they passed over me, they descended to just above
the desert floor. They remained in a level attitude as they descended. They
seemed to be maintaining a constant height above the ground. I saw neither
windows nor lights on them. They glowed a very faint emerald color. They
did cast a very dim light on the ground as they passed over. I heard no
noise at all.
After they passed me, the three of them became a point of light because of
the distance. When they approached Mt Baldy, they made a sharp turn to the
right and flew out of sight to the east. I counted the seconds until they
turned east. Later, I became a Navy pilot, and measured the distance that
they covered on a map, then using the seconds I counted, I calculated a
speed which is probably way off the actual speed. I was excited and probably
counted too fast, but at the time, I believe they were doing almost 9000
miles per hour.

*RICHMOND-- *This sighting was in the Bay area in 1947, I was nine years old
and noticed the dark clouds like it was going to rain, but the sun was out.
There was a dark circle around the clouds that I put together as a disc a
little bit at a time. Finally I ran around trying to get the adults to see
the circle and tell me what it was, but no one would long enough to see what
I was seeing. Thanks to Barbara V.
*SAN MARCOS* – On October 7, 2007, I went outside for a smoke after dinner
at 6:15 PM, and spotted a glowing amber *rectangular *object with a
multicolored assembly of geometric shapes directly beneath. It was no more
than a half a mile away at maybe 2000 feet. I grabbed my binoculars and
focused on an unidentifiable thing below the amber rectangle that flipped
over, maintaining its position below the rectangle. Two of my neighbors also
caught sight of it and I had the impression they were frightened. I told
them I'd seen it through my binoculars, and it was not a helicopter.
The rectangle was steady with no wobble but the geometric shapes did another
flip. They were geometric reflective and red, green, blue, and gold. I heard
a jet and found it with the binoculars, and then looked for the object and
it was gone just like that. Thanks to Brian Vike - Director of HBCC UFO

*Delaware It Fell From Outer Space?
*
*WILMINGTON* -- UFO watchers have a new topic for their Internet forums. The
FAA has ruled a 16-inch-long piece of metal, which fell from the sky in
Delaware Monday, October 17, 2007, was not part of an airplane. The object
landed with enough force to blow right through the roof of an SUV, and was
hot enough to still be smoldering when firefighters arrived.
"The metal was still too hot to handle," Delaware State Police spokesman
Cpl. Jeff Whitmarsh told the Wilmington News-Journal. Photos from the scene
show a metal object that looks a little like a piece of construction rebar
bent into the shape of the Greek letter omega. The impact on the SUV sounded
like an explosion. Could it be a piece of space junk which re-entered after
its orbit decayed? Or is it a cotter pin from a huge alien spacecraft?

*Florida Five Flying Discs ***
* *
*OLDSMAR, FLORIDA -- *I couldn't sleep very well on October 11, 2007, so I
went outside marveling at the night sky at 4:40 AM, and saw five white
circles in the sky. I knew it was not a plane because it was moving too fast
across the sky. It also wasn't a meteor. At 51 years of age I know what a
plane or a meteor looks like. I've seen thousands but this was very
different. As I followed the five bright disc shapes I knew this was
something different. All five circular objects were moving in formation,
right behind each other. Then they were gone.
*PENSACOLA -- *I work for UPS, and while delivering on October 12, 2007, at
the corner of University Parkway, and Nine Mile Road; I looked up to notice
a circular pattern with lights that would fade in and out in the distance. I
tried to get someone's attention as they disappeared. Perhaps it was just a
cluster of balloons or some navy flying pattern because we are near lots of
flight bases here. Nevertheless, it was so amazing I never saw anything like
it before. Thanks to Brian Vike - Director of HBCC UFO Research and radio

*CHICAGO *-- I was standing on the Metra Platform at Van Buren Street
waiting for the South Shore Train to Indiana when I noticed a light in the
sky. I initially thought it was a flare rising at a 45 degree angle but it
leveled out and traveled for roughly three seconds south, and then without a
turning motion began moving north in the opposite direction. At that time
another light moved up to roughly the same elevation as the first light. The
two lights then began traveling back and forth and up and down very
strangely. I pointed at the object and asked "Do you see that?" The witness
also saw them as another object appeared from a cloud bank and joined the
other two. All three objects were moving erratically and completely
independently of each other for about four more minutes. About fifteen more
people began looking at the objects as well making exclamations of
excitement and amazement.
My train arrived at 5:31 PM and I boarded but within thirty seconds we
experienced a furious hail storm. After the hail cleared I saw two military
fighter jets traveling at an extremely high rate of speed and very low
toward the location the objects were originally sighted. The objects looked
like very bright stars and their speed was amazingly fast. I contacted WGN
News and ABC News during the evening to see if anyone had reported the
lights. Snip Thanks to Peter Davenport Director http://www.ufocenter.com/

each side of the triangle. At 7:15 PM, the craft was fairly stationary over

*COLUMBIA -- *I was driving on Highway Z about seven miles
north of Columbia on October 15, 2007, at 6:58 PM and saw
something with a dull matte gray color. It looked like two
inverted contact lenses stuck together to make a domed disc shape with a
little square turret on top. It had a large round blue/white light on one
side that always faced toward the viewer. It was dark and the blue/white
light was bright. A vehicle was stopped on the other side of the road with
three occupants in it, watching the object. I pulled over, and turned my
vehicle off to see if I could hear anything. One of the males yelled over
to me and asked if I saw it?, I answered, " Yes, that's why I stopped, but I
don't know what it is." The object would stay in one spot for a while, then
move very slowly, then stop, then move again, never with any noise. It
finally arced around and moved faster away towards the northwest.
*Investigator's Notes:* *The witness has described a "classic flying
saucer."* Considering that the clouds were fairly low the object must have
been flying low. I have been unable to reach the witness to obtain any
additional information. Like most sightings the validity of this sighting

following the Delaware River north and passed over the power plant.

*EVENDALE *-- On September 21, 2007, we were celebrating my cousin's sweet
16 birthday at church about 9 PM, when my Dad said, "Wow look at the light
flying around up there!"
We all looked and saw a line of about six lights floating slowly around in
the sky, so we ran up the hill and realized it was a huge triangle shaped
craft almost completely covered in lights. It was hovering slowly above us
and we freaked out as it came closer. We could see every detail of a huge
UFO, and my cousin took pictures on my cell phone, and a video as it flew
about 100 feet above us. We ran as it climbed higher and we could see the
city below it like judgment day. Then it shot out little red orbs that
parachuted down out of sight and then it was gone. I looked on YouTube the

days before our sighting. I believe this was the closest UFO sighting in USA

blinking in a pattern, and then moved off into the distance. Several days

*Oklahoma Early UFO Sighting in 1946*
*COYLE *-- Sammie Binkley <binkleys@...> writes, "It was a clear spring
day in l946, in the small town of Coyle at about 9 AM, when my Mother and I
saw a flight of UFO s. We were in the west side yard looking at the tulip
leaves that had just forced their way up about an inch in the flower bed. I
looked up and saw what looked like small objects surrounded by strips of
metallic ribbon. I said, "Mother, look, an airplane must have dropped some
toys or something."----She glanced up, looked at me and said, "There hasn't
been a plane go over."
The objects, which were just dots in the sky at first, came down in a long
spiral, each above and to the side of the lower one. They were slowly
rotating in a clockwise movement. As they got closer they looked like a
child's top, round and narrowing at the bottom. About a quarter of the way
down there appeared to be a row of windows that went totally around the
objects. The bottom was flat but had three dark spots in a triangle which
could have been recessed wheels. The "ribbons" I had first seen were white
and red lights that were flashing from the tops--the red light was not the
bright red of an emergency vehicle but darker, almost a maroon. There were
nine of the "tops". They were metallic but not bright like aluminum--nearer
to pewter color. They were large, about the size of a double garage.
There was an electric pole in back of our garage that was, I guess, a
transformer----lines from all over town converged there. The objects came
down, one at a time and sat, unmoving, slightly above the electric lines.
After about four or five minutes they would ascend, take their place at the
top of the spiral and the lowest one would come down and sit. There was
never the slightest sound, no whistle, hum or anything. It was so quiet it
reminded me of the calm just before a storm hits---even the birds were mute.
It took approximately 45 minutes to an hour for all of them to do this and
then they suddenly, in the blink of an eye, swept into a V formation and
flew west. This was so fast that they literally disappeared before our eyes.
I have been interested ever since this event in finding out what UFOs are. I
was 17 at the time, ready to start college and my mother was 37 and an avid
bird watcher that could identify a bird sitting in a tree a mile away so I
don't think there is any chance that we saw a bunch of birds or weather
balloons. Thanks to Sammie Binkley <binkleys@...>
*Oregon V-Shaped Distortion*
*LINCOLN BEACH -- A*bout 9:30 PM, on October 15, 2007, I was out on my front
porch 70 miles south of Portland, near the Pacific Ocean and saw a very,
huge and very fast V-shaped distortion pass in front of the Milky Way. The
sky was so clear and there were so many stars, that I could clearly see the
shape. *I would swear that it wasn't a shadow, but that it was invisible.
Like it was distorting the light behind it, not blacking it out. *I see a
lot of jets pass over. This was much bigger, and faster, and silent. It made
no noise as it passed overhead. It was like a distortion of the stars and
Milky Way behind it. There were so many stars that I could clearly see its
shape. It was just a moving pattern of distortion traveling from the north
to directly south. I have attached a drawing of the shape. The whole event
took 30 seconds.
**
*Investigator's Notes:* This is one of many sightings of a "V" shaped
triangular object that our group has received during the past few years. The
witness is very explicit in his report and clearly this sighting was not of
a "conventional aircraft." The shadow and distortion of stars are somewhat
reminiscent of the Phoenix Lights sightings in March of 1997. Thanks to Bill

*Tennessee—Black Flying Triangle *
*FRANKLIN -- *I was walking into the Home Depot in Cool Springs at 6:40 PM,
on September 25, 2007, and two people were pointing up stating, "Look at
that glider up there." So, I looked and to see an object high enough to be
visible from the light of the setting sun. I didn't think that it was a hang
glider since a glider would probably not be flying that high near Nashville
air traffic so late.
It was triangular in shape flying between 7,000 and 10,000 feet without
lights and flying very slowly north. More witnesses gathered and one said,
"Look there's two." They moved away or it was just too dark to see them
after a couple of minutes. Thanks to Peter Davenport Director

*Texas Meteor May Cover UFO Entry*
* *
*DALLAS* – Peter Davenport writes, "NUFORC received four reports on October
19, 2007, of a very dramatic meteor to the north of Dallas and Fort
Worth. However,
two independent witnesses have reported that immediately following the
apparent meteor, six "balls of orange light" rose up from the horizon,
maneuvered, dimmed, and then one shot off at an astonishing velocity. Thanks
to Peter Davenport Director http://www.ufocenter.com/
*Editors Note*: Assuming we are dealing with intelligence life forms aboard
UFOs entering our atmosphere, they may choose to closely follow a meteor
into the atmosphere, or to make their entry appear as a meteor. Even though
spectacular meteors are often observed the actual meteorites are seldom
found even though they are quite valuable. Green meteors apparently do not
actually exist in nature and often signal the entry of alien craft. These
objects are called Fastwalkers or uncorrelated targets. They are not in the
Air Force Data Base of known objects in space, thus the name uncorrelated.
I'm told several times a week an uncorrelated target enters and exits our
atmosphere indicating there are regular supply missions for our visitors.
Additionally, many reports are indicating the UFOs are foraging for food,
water, and electrical energy.

bright lights in a much larger pattern in the same place. Then I saw one
bright light like a star, move very quickly to the east then stop! Thanks to

*Virginia Driver Takes Photos*
I was at a lumber yard waiting for the machine operator to unload my log
truck on February 16, 2007, when I noticed an unusual sun/cloud mixture when
this vehicle came out from behind a cloud. I ran to my truck to get my
camera phone and took five pictures. It was moving up and down, turning from
side to side very slowly. I knew I was seeing something incredible. It left
so fast in the blink of an eye. Thanks to MUFON CMS*

*Washington **Disc About 35 Feet*
*CLE ELUM --* I was driving on the freeway about 7 PM, and saw a bluish-gray
disc in the sky about 600-700 feet altitude on October 17, 2007. The weather
was clear, raining slightly (mist). The disc seemed to be hovering over the
little town of Cle Elum, so I pulled over to watch. It would bobble
slightly, but otherwise stay in one position. This lasted for about five
minutes and then it just disappeared.

*Investigator's Notes:* This sighting has similar characteristics to a
sighting over Lake Easton on October 10, 2007. The two sightings were only
about 15 miles apart.
**
*LAKE EASTON *-- I saw a silver/gray disc about 35 feet radius hovering over
Lake Easton for 3-5 minutes on October 10, 2007 around 10:40 PM. I saw a
beam of very bright greenish light which illuminated the lake. *Then we saw
small objects floating up to the craft.* My friend said they were *fish*.

*Investigator's Notes:* Reports of unknown objects gathering material are
rare. Thanks to Bill Puckett UFOS Northwest http://ufosnw.com/
*Editor's Note:* Sightings of discs in the Northwest have been reported for
more than fifty years by hundreds of witnesses. The occupants are often seen
foraging for food and water. Fish, elk, deer and other animals appear to be
taken on a regular basis. This pattern provides evidence for an intelligent
species that needs food to sustain life. Recently, I was contacted by a
Forest Ranger who claimed that Rangers see them on a regular basis. **

*OSHAWA, NEAR LAKE ONTARIO -- *The night of October 8, 2007, my little
brother and I were fishing at about 7:30 PM, and saw a single cloud over
Lake Ontario that began to give off a kind of orange glow. About 30 minutes
later I noticed a bright yellow orb directly above us that faded away within
seconds. A few minutes later an orb passed by, turned on a dime and flew
away. Thanks to Brian Vike - Director of HBCC UFO Research and radio host of

*SHANGHAI *-- On September 24, 2007, we saw a small triangular craft with
bright red, blue, and yellow lights, 4 to 5 per side, moving slowing at a
few thousand feet altitude. We were in taxi bout 10 PM when we saw a flying
triangle at cloud level at 4000 to perhaps 5000 feet. There could have been
other colors with four to five from point to point, including the lights on
the ends. The body of the craft was dark and was about the size of a
medium-sized airplane, moving steadily about the speed of a plane. The taxi
turned and our view was obstructed. The lights were spaced something like

*GELSENKIRCHEN* -- On Sunday morning, September 16, 2007, around 8:15 PM, I
was out on my girlfriend's tenth floor balcony and noticed a bright light
with an aura around it flying east. Suddenly another light appeared to the
left side of the first object and started getting brighter and adjusted its
speed to the first one. I noticed a pedestrian below and pointed, and he saw
it too. The objects were moving together when the second light suddenly made
a sharp 90 degree left turn, speeded up and dimmed out. The first one was
now nearly over me as it rapidly dimmed out and disappeared. At that moment
I noticed interference on my radio. Thanks to Peter Davenport Director

*Norway Huge Bright Disc Light*
**
*KRISTIANSAND** --** *It was amazing, at first I just saw a huge bright
light in the sky right above the tree-line. It was so huge I called for a
buddy of mine to look and got my telescope, and saw there were two
white/bright lights fairly close to each other, with a red light beam going
downwards in a pattern movement. This was in between the two bright round
lights at each side of the disc.
I had it in my sights for maybe 45 seconds as moved behind the tree-line,
but then flew higher and I could see that it was a black disc shaped object
in the middle of two bright lights. It was moving slow and then it turned
again towards my buddy and me and flew almost over us totally silent. We
both saw it in the scope. The white and red lights were fairly small so if
this object was that high in the air this means the object had to be
seriously huge. Thanks to Brian Vike, Director HBCC UFO Research. Email:

The truth is out there: Roswell incident recalled by local vet who was
there 60 years ago
By: GARY WARTH - Staff Writer
Something happened in Roswell, New Mexico, 60 years ago this summer.
In June or early July 1947, a farmer found strange debris while working
on a
ranch about 70 miles north of Roswell. He put some of it in a box and
drove
to the local sheriff. Neither man knew what to make of it, so the
sheriff
called Roswell Army Air Field, which sent two men to investigate.
On July 9, 1947, the Roswell Daily Record, a newspaper, printed a story
with
the alarming headline: "RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch in Roswell
Region."
Other than those facts, there appear to be few things people agree on
regarding what has become known as "the Roswell incident."
Six decades later, competing UFO enthusiasts promote their own theories,
skeptics dismiss the spaceship claims as outrageous, and the military,
which
originally claimed all the fuss was over a weather balloon, now sticks
to
its story that it was an experimental spy craft.
Escondido resident Milton Sprouse, 85, said he knows what happened in
Roswell ---- not because he favors one theory over another, but because
he
was there.
As for the outrageous stories of mysterious metal, alien corpses and a
military coverup?
It's all true, he said.
From atom bombs to flying saucers
Before arriving at Roswell Army Air Field in 1945 as a corporal and
engine
mechanic, Sprouse already had participated in an undisputable historic
event.
As a member of the 393rd Bomb Squadron assigned to the 509th Composite
Group, Sprouse worked on the ground crew of Big Stink, one of the B-29
bombers stationed on the Pacific island of Tinian, where the two atomic
bomb
missions on Japan were launched to end World War II.
After the war, the 509th Composite Group was reassigned to Roswell,
where
they were renamed the 509th Bomb Wing. Sprouse continued to lead the
ground
crew of Big Stink, which had been renamed Dave's Dream after the pilot.
"There was nothing there but tumbleweeds blowing for miles," he said
about
arriving at Roswell in November 1945.
Sprouse first learned that something odd was going on at Roswell after
returning from a three-day trip to Florida aboard Dave's Dream.
"I was there the day they announced a UFO had crashed," he said. "The
next
day, it was published in the Roswell Daily Record, and that night, all
the
generals said the story was untrue."
Farmer William "Mac" Brazel had found debris on the J.B. Foster Ranch,
where
he was a foreman, sometime in June or early July. Brazel took some of
the
material, which reportedly included sticks, rubber strips, metallic foil
and
sturdy paper, to Sheriff George Wilcox, who called the air base.
Intelligence Officer Jesse Marcel was sent to the sheriff's station.
Marcel
reported what he saw to Air Force commanding officer Col. William
Blanchard,
who told him to go with Brazel to the ranch and examine the crash site.
After spending the night at the ranch, Marcel and another officer loaded
their vehicles with debris, some of which reportedly was marked with
mysterious symbols, and drove back to the base. Blanchard then ordered a
press release stating that the base had captured a flying saucer.
The original story ran in the local paper July 8. That same day, the
debris
was loaded onto a B-29 and sent with Marcel to an Air Force base in
Texas.
Marcel was photographed with what was said to be the debris, and the
military issued a statement saying that it was in fact a weather
balloon.
Search for the truth
Meanwhile, Sprouse said, all copies of the Roswell newspaper were
collected
by officers, and hundreds of men from the 509th were taken to the crash
site
and told to walk shoulder-to-shoulder through the field, looking for
debris
pieces.
Sprouse himself did not go because he was told he was needed for Dave's
Dream, but five men from his ground crew went to the ranch.
"They said it was out of this world," Sprouse said about what the crew
reported finding. Among the objects it reported seeing was a metallic
foil
that, when crumpled, unfolded without a crease.
But what was the debris? Was it really something from another world, or
just
the product of overactive imaginations fueled by the monotony of a
desolate
1950s desert town?
One thing that is agreed upon now: It was not from a weather balloon.
In 1995, after years of questions about the incident, the U.S. Air Force
admitted the weather-balloon story was fabricated to cover up a
top-secret
project called Project Mogul designed to detect atomic activity over the
Soviet Union with high-altitude balloons.
Some of the launches in the project contained more than two dozen
neoprene
balloons strung across more than 600 feet.
Charles Moore, a Project Mogul scientist interviewed in the Air Force
report, has spoken in public about the project and described striking
similarities to what was found at the ranch outside of Roswell and the
Project Mogul material, which used sticks, metallic paper and strangely
marked tape.
The strange markings that had seemed like cosmic hieroglyphics may have
had
a much more mundane explanation: Moore said the project used tape made
at a
toy factory.
The balloons were launched in June and July 1947 from Alamogordo Army
Air
Field in New Mexico. One flight was launched June 4 and tracked to
Arabela,
N.M., about 17 miles from the Foster ranch, before its batteries ran
down
and contact was lost.
More questions
But if the debris did come from a Project Mogul craft, how could a
string of
balloons create the types of gouges on the ground some witnesses have
reported?
Then again, maybe there were no gouges; skeptics of the UFO theory have
noted that some witnesses changed their stories about what they saw on
the
crash site.
The Project Mogul explanation also does not address why some people
reported
seeing alien bodies at the site. Those were explained in another report
in
1997 that concluded the bodies actually were anthropomorphic dummies
used to
test high-altitude parachutes.
UFO believers found the explanation a little too convenient. There also
was
a timing problem, as the parachute tests were not conducted until the
1950s.
The timing discrepancy has been explained as the result of people who
over
the years confused the two incidents and compressed memories of them
into
one event.
Sprouse, however, said he recalls people speaking about "alien bodies"
immediately after the debris discovery.
"They took the bodies to a hangar, and there were two guards at each
door
with machine guns," he said.
Sprouse said one witness, a barracksmate, was an emergency-room medic
who
reported seeing what he called "humanoid" bodies in the hospital.
"They went to the ER room and two doctors and two nurses were called in,
and
they dissected two of those humanoid bodies," he said. "Then the doctors
and
nurses were transferred.
"My friend said he saw the bodies, and I believed him," Sprouse said.
"He
said, 'We don't think the humanoid ate food.' I don't know why he said
that.
The digestive system wasn't designed for food or something."
Like the other doctors and nurses, Sprouse said, his friend suddenly was
transferred, and he never heard from him again. Others on the base,
however,
kept the story alive.
"I heard it so many times, it had to be true," he said.
Sprouse said he knew Marcel, but he never spoke to him after the
incident.
"From that day on, I could never get close to him," he said.
The story lives on
After the story about the UFO crash was retracted, the rest of the world
largely forgot about Roswell and accepted that what had been discovered
was
just a misidentified weather balloon.
The men stationed at the base, however, did not easily forget.
"They were still talking about it when I left, and I left in '56,"
Sprouse
said.
In 1978, Marcel was interviewed by a researcher and appeared in a
documentary, "UFOs Are Real," the following year. The National Enquirer
interviewed Marcel in 1980 for an article in which he said the woodlike
debris could not be burned and the thin metal could not be bent. "The
Roswell Incident" was released in 1980 as the first of a string of books
on
the subject.
As interest grew in the Roswell UFO incident, so did the number of
detractors. Some have questioned Marcel's credibility, saying he got
caught
up in UFO hysteria and was known to exaggerate his own military past.
Jesse Marcel, Jr. published his own book this year, "The Roswell
Legacy,"
defending his father, who died in 1986.
Sprouse has not kept up with all the books and documentaries on Roswell
and
did not go to Roswell in July for the 60th anniversary of the discovery.
He does, however, attend annual reunions with the 509th, which attracts
25
to 30 veterans.
"The Roswell incident comes up every year, but there's nothing really
new,"
he said.
Sprouse also speaks about his experience at Tinian to about five high
schools a year, and he often is invited to speak to other groups. He
usually
ends his talk with his memories of Roswell, often to the surprise of his
audience.
At a talk in Tucson, Ariz., earlier this year, Sprouse said a man came
up to
him afterwards and said, "I don't believe a damn thing you said."
"I told him, 'You can believe what you want, but I know it's true,'"
Sprouse
said.
