<----- end silly advertising - would you really click that? :-) ----->
Hi,
I hope you had a good weekend and got out to do a little railfanning. If
not, I've got the virtual kind for you which you will find available at the
link below.
On Saturday, Nov 18th, another work train was run from Grand Junction, CO
to Minturn and back to Glenwood Springs. They picked up all of the cars
they left the first part of the month and also the Herzog unit that has
been on the Tennessee Pass line since early summer. I have a couple photo
essays of their trip in the snow available, just click on "another work
train to Minturn."
As some of you might have already noticed, I added a new banner in the #5
position. It is a photo from Nov. 12th of the P-MEMSSE passing in front of
the Bridger Mtns near Belgrade, MT.
I have also added a listing of those people who have helped with the
website and/or provided content. You'll find them under "Contributors" on
the main page.
Today (Sun, Nov 19th) there was a manfiest from Denver to Grand Junction
that was powered by DRGW T-2s (well one was in SP paint, but was an old
DRGW unit). They picked up the power from the Minturn work train in
Glenwood Springs to create a manifest with 5 DRGW units. A very rare site
these days. This trip was well documented in both slide and digital
formats, so I hope to have something for this railfan adventure online soon.
Have a good week and may all of you celebrating Thanksgiving have a safe
and happy holiday weekend.
Paul
