FURTHER UPDATE:

See book at www.amazon.com: Spin Wave Technology

The USA DOD wishes I don't communicate further. That's why the vasantcorporation.com website is down.

For more information on spin wave technology please go to: http://www.vasantcorporation.com. The Vasant Corporation is a "for profit" rather than "non-profit" corporation but its main objective is to teach everyone new things, not to make lots of money. But it does take time and money to provide all of you with more information on how to utilize spin wave technology so please be understanding that the information has a price to it. The prices are reasonable considering the value of the learning material and resources provided.

The purpose of this group is to familiarize engineers, students, professors, etc. with magnon lasers. The moderator is an electronics engineer with 18 years design experience. Information presented is from a design engineer's point of view with a layman's description of practical knowledge more than from a pure theoretical physicist's point of view.

In solid state physics, a magnon is the term for an elementary excitation in which the direction of magnetization in a ferromagnetic material, or that of a sublattice moment in an antiferromagnetic material, is spatially nonuniform and propagates as a wave (spin wave). Reference: http://www.harcourt.com/dictionary/def/6/1/5/0/6150600.html

In a ferromagnetic material in an external magnetic field these waves of changing direction of magnetization propagate through precessing unpaired electrons. A magnon laser generates coherent photons from precessing electrons.

In the term "Magnon Laser" the word "Laser" is used loosely since a magnon laser operates in the RF spectrum rather than in the visible light spectrum. Antenna reflectors are used as opposed to mirror reflectors.
