Morning Ron, With regards to 360Px.... as a matter of fact I'd the NiMH fully charged and i do also try my flash on new set of Duracell Alkaline battery still...
I don't know any specifics about the 360px but, if a flash is old enough it may not have been designed for the lower voltage levels of NiCad or NiMH batteries...
The 360px has an auto shutoff after 5 minutes. The method of "forming" the capacitor that I was taught for any electronic flash is to allow the flash unit to...
"Re-forming" the capacitor like this enables it to charge/discharge fully. Unfortunately, if you hear no "whine" when the flash is switched on, it won't help....

It depends on what's wrong with the camera and where you live I suppose. Parts are the major problem, you may have to cannibalize another camera. In the US,...
They're usually quite difficult to get into, so it's time-consuming and fiddly and therefore no repair people will bother. There are, of course, now virtually...
Probably not. (See my reply to Chuck.) The problem with them is that afaik there are no repair manuals or diagrams for it around, so while once opened (if you...
Garry has done good work on my XE-7 and X-700s. But I would second the opinion that for many of the older models, parts are a big issue. To cheer you up...
... Actually, it can be uneconomical even if you can do it yourself: a new replacement capacitor for the Canon flash I mentioned would have cost me over £25...
... I had my X-700 shutter button replaced from garry and I sent it out and within a week I had it back repaired and still working great at a $40.00 charge. I...
Hi all, one good thing about the site, is you cannot copy the photos easily, I'm on a MAC and it is easy with my computer to download almost anything, but from...

I have a problem with this ancient camera, but it doesn't effect the quality of pictures, so far. I don't know the right term, but sometimes when I take a...
... Assume its less expensive to bid for another one at E-bay, her in Germany you pay about 25 to 50 US$, depending from normal (user signs) up to excellent...

If in the US, Garry's Camera Repair. I've never dealt with Garry's Camera Repair but they have frequently been mentioned on this list as a good place to do...
From your description it sounds as though the mirror may not be returning which, in turn, may be a result of the second shutter curtain not closing. Remove...
Hi. My father as the same (or is it a 201, I don't remember) camera: After you press the shutter button, the mirror goes up and the shutter open (at the speed...
It's not totally normal unless the camera is very old and was designed before the advent of the "rapid return mirror". The "rapid return mirror", as I said in...
