What you have said is the opposite solution to what I did! The allen
setscrew is attached to the gear. I drilled and tapped the gear
because it offered more metal and therfore more threads. A slightly
larger hole was drilled in the washer. Your way might also work. I
just don't know if there is enough metal in the thickness of the
washer to hold the setscrew. If there is than your solution would be
better. One could put a spring between the gear and the washer. On
the other hand some sort of pull spring could be attached to the
wahser and the knob with my solution.
Yes it is locked and I can't manually move it but I find the motors
due just fine.
I'm sorry I don't have the pictures. I been slightly sick over the
last few days but I will try to get them posted here later this week.
