I received a 4501 with an equatorial mount. I want to separate the
mount from the tripod. There seems to be a bolt that holds the two
together. When I try to loosen it the mount rotates in azimuth. If I
lock the azimuth (with another bolt perpendicular to the first) then
the first bolt can't move. I must be missing something simple as the
mount was attached in the first place. Any ideas or suggestions
greatly appreciated.
