Good grief, the ETX-90 doesn't need 2 to 5 amps. A 1.5amp (1500ma) regulated 12VDC power supply will work just fine with room to spare. Getting much above 13V...

My Meade ETX supply will run at 13.4 volts under a two drive slew with dew shield and 26mm eyepiece pulling 1.1 amps. The ETX works much better at 13 volts...
