Description

This group is for owners or potential owners of the Meade Deep Space Imager (DSI). The purpose of this group is to provide a location for discussion, questions and comments and for posting images made with the DSI. We welcome you to join and look forward to seeing some awesome images.

Congratulations to Mike Skovan, winner of the April monthly challenge, which was open to all targets.

Mike imaged M97, aka the Owl Nebula, using a DSI Pro II through a Meade LX200GPS 7" Mak. Lum 20x3min, O3 18x10min, Ha 24x10min, with Ha mapped to red, and O3 mapped to both blue and green. Captured using Nebulosity 2.5, processed with PhotoShop 6. Guided with DSI Pro through a Meade 70mm AZ-adr refractor, and PHD (polar aligned wedge-mounted fork).

Randy King also did well in the polling with his image of M51, the Whirlpool Galaxy

Check out our Challenge "Wall of Fame" at Meade_DSI Wall of Fame . Feel Free to also visit our Off-Yahoo Site AutoStarSuite.Net for more forums, information, and member galleries.

Re: Darks
Just some quick thoughts and places to look. In the Cntrl menu you can set a temp spread that will let you set how much the temp for the current darks can vary
