This group is for owners or potential owners of the Meade Deep Space Imager (DSI). The purpose of this group is to provide a location for discussion, questions and comments and for posting images made with the DSI. We welcome you to join and look forward to seeing some awesome images.
Congratulations to
Rick Andersen, winner of the October challenge, NGC281.
Rick captured NGC281 using a DSI Pro II and Williams Optics ZS-80 II ED, using an Orion Ha filter and Meade Green and Blue filters. The refractor was mounted on an LX90 Classic / standard wedge, and was guided through the Classic using a DSI Pro and Envisage. 2 minute subframes were used, totaling 60 minutes of Ha (Orion filter), and 35 minutes of Green and 30 minutes of Blue (Meade filters).
Congratulations to everyone who entered the challenge! This nebula is not easy to capture, and all four entries looked fantastic with some great details. The photos and descriptions can be found in the Files folder: Files / Challenge Entries / October 2008.
