Description

This group is for owners or potential owners of the Meade Deep Space Imager (DSI). The purpose of this group is to provide a location for discussion, questions and comments and for posting images made with the DSI. We welcome you to join and look forward to seeing some awesome images.

Congratulations to Randy King, winner of the May monthly challenge, which was open to all targets.

Randy imaged M5, a globular cluster in Serpens, using a DSI II, Meade 12" LX200R, and Antares f/6.3 focal reducer, all on a Mitty wedge. Orion ST80 guide scope with SSAG guider and PHD. Subframes were 40 x 8 seconds, processed as LRGB. Data captured in Envisage, registered and stacked in CCD Stack, with final processing in PhotoShop CS5.

Congratulations to both Randy and John Brueggemann for great images.

Check out our Challenge "Wall of Fame" at Meade_DSI Wall of Fame . Feel Free to also visit our Off-Yahoo Site AutoStarSuite.Net for more forums, information, and member galleries.

Hi Sean, I am no expert, and am still learning the ins and outs of the DSI myself. I have a color and a monochrome model, and neither does real well in the
