Dear Calculationfriends,
It is not the first time that I let know not to be amused when I see either
videos or read articles in which some prodigees show their performances without
giving any information about the techniques used, the algoritms or other kind of
information.
In so far this is understandable as eg TV is a comsumptive medium by excellence
and when eventually the TV watchers are asked to think about something, the
moderators immediately "tranquillise" them saying "don't be afraid, it will
surely not be too difficult".
So my proposition is keep away from the media unless you get the chance to say
something interesting or useful about mental calculation.
