Greetings,
Just read the email concerning the book that your writing. I
don't know if you would want to include this story or not but I wrote
about this a while back.
Back in the fall of '92, I was sleeping when my baby daughter started
crying; after calming her and putting her back to sleep I went back to
bed myself. I had not been in bed for very long when I had noticed
someone or something standing in my doorway. At first I thought it was
one of my sons, so I started to get up and I realized that I could not
move. The dark figure started moving towards me but did not get any
bigger or any clearer. When it was within two feet of my face it
suddenly disappeared and I was able to move again. I told my wife about
my experience that night and she said that I was probably just
dreaming. I had not thought about it again until we moved into the
house we currently live in. We had just moved in and started to get our
things organized, my wife and kids went to bed early but I stayed up to
watch some late night programs. I fell asleep on the living-room floor
and was awakened by someone kicking me in the head, not hard enough to
hurt but enough to be annoying. When I turned around and looked up I
saw my son sitting on the sofa and I asked him what he wanted. Just
when he started to speak I saw something coming out of one of the
bedrooms and moving toward the bathroom. After I was able to focus my
sight I realized that it was my son and I quickly turned around and
looked at the sofa and the person that I thought was my son had
vanished. I asked my son if he had just been in the living-room,
thinking that I had fallen back asleep and my son walked away. He said,
"No, I just woke up to use the bathroom." I then asked him if his
brother was still in bed, he looked in the bedroom and told me that he
was asleep.
Since that night, I have seen some strange things in our
house. Sometimes when I'm up late at night, I see flashes of dark
patterns zooming from room to room, or hovering in front of the
living-room windows. My sons have both seem these things as well.
Well it does not stop there, I moved again back in
September and it looks like the dark figure has followed us again. I
have seen this several times in my current home and have gotten use to
it. But about two weeks ago I ran into one (literally) at work. I was
patrolling the building early in the morning (between 2 & 3 am); I
had just locked one of the doors on the upper floor when I seen this
dark figure come from one of the rooms and vanish into the wall
opposite of where it appeared. It was not a quick appearance like most,
it kind of lingered there as if to say "Here I am, notice me." It still
gives me chills when I walk that floor, even in the day time.

Just letting you know you can now listen to this week's paranormal podcast (discussing hauntings in Atlanta, Georgia and the spirit of John Lennon) - hosted by me, Zsuzsana, with guests Robert de Santis and Brittni Roddin. Please visit www.sourcenewage.com and click on Notes from a Ghostwriter or My Talkcast.
Please email me your comments, suggestions, or let me know if you are interested in being a guest on a future show.
Just a reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday Oct. 3 at 10:00 pm EST, I will be debuting my brand new weekly Paranormal podcast called Notes from a Ghostwriter. If anyone is interested in being my guest on this audio talk show, please let me know. I invite everyone to email me or call in with questions/comments on the paranormal as well. Please listen in on Wednesday at the Talkshoe site (instructions below) and/or click through to the show by clicking on the Notes from a Ghostwriter banner at www.sourcenewage.com.
Sounds great, but I do not recall the posting. When is this taking place? Please let me know and I would be more than happy to extend an invitation to anyone who might be interested to attending a local ghost hunt.
As far as the column is concern, I believe that it is gophercentral's loss in discontinuing Tarotscopes and it was their loss when the Paranormal column was discontinued as well. I guess that there are still a lot of non-believers out there. Anyway, can't wait for the radio show. Just send me the details, talk to you soon.

Hi Vernon,
Nice to hear from you! Yes, it's been quiet here.
I'm very sad to have my Tarotscopes discontinued by gophercentral - they are changing direction and as you see, substituting the column with Deal of the Day. Hmmm:>) I'll continue writing the columns though and posting them to my site.
Vernon and everyone, I think I posted about my new paranormal radio show/podcast coming this week? I hope you'll tune in and even call in. Yu can talk about your planned ghost hunt and put out an invitation on air - what do you think?
I haven't heard from anyone at MetaMystic in awhile, how is everyone? Well I received your final issue of Tarot Card Predictions, and once again I am sad to hear that you will no longer be writing the column, hmm deja-vu. But we still have Arcanamatrix. Anyway, I would still like to get a group together and go on a ghost hunt. Let me know if
anyone is interested. Talk to you later.

I have also captured some smaller ones in the living room...I didn't send those photos, but they were under the coffee table and near

PS: The essay was a very lengthy one on the subject of Manifesting which the publisher wanted to include in an anthology of spiritual/metaphysical articles from a selection of their current authours at the time. I am trying to figure out what the universe is trying to tell me today:>). Probably that it hasn't "read" my manifesting intentions LOL.
Just wanted to share the weirdest thing - I just got a 'Not Read" receipt in my mailbox from a Jacob LeWinter (who is my former publisher who went bankrupt over a year ago and left me and many other authours in a lurch) for an essay I submitted to him in the fall of 2004! No one I know has heard from him since sometime back in 05/06. Eek - ghosts!!!!! LOL!

Cat has uncanny record of curling up with dying nursing home patients
Staff members say families usually find cat's presence comforting
Cat better at predicting imminent death than staff, observer says
New England Journal of Medicine essay describes phenomenon
PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (AP) -- Oscar the cat seems to have an uncanny knack for predicting when nursing home patients are going to die, by curling up next to them during their final hours.
His accuracy, observed in 25 cases, has led the staff to call family members once he has chosen someone. It usually means the patient has less than four hours to live.
"He doesn't make too many mistakes. He seems to understand when patients are about to die," Dr. David Dosa said in an interview. He describes the phenomenon in a poignant essay in Thursday's issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
"Many family members take some solace from it. They appreciate the companionship that the cat provides for their dying loved one," said Dosa, a geriatrician and assistant professor of medicine at Brown University.
The 2-year-old feline was adopted as a kitten and grew up in a third-floor dementia unit at the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The facility treats people with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease and other illnesses.
After about six months, the staff noticed Oscar would make his own rounds, just like the doctors and nurses. He'd sniff and observe patients, then sit beside people who would wind up dying in a few hours.
Dosa said Oscar seems to take his work seriously and is generally aloof. "This is not a cat that's friendly to people," he said.
Oscar is better at predicting death than the people who work there, said Dr. Joan Teno of Brown University, who treats patients at the nursing home and is an expert on care for the terminally ill
She was convinced of Oscar's talent when he made his 13th correct call. While observing one patient, Teno said she noticed the woman wasn't eating, was breathing with difficulty and that her legs had a bluish tinge, signs that often mean death is near.
Oscar wouldn't stay inside the room, though, so Teno thought his streak was broken. Instead, it turned out the doctor's prediction was roughly 10 hours too early. Sure enough, during the patient's final two hours, nurses told Teno that Oscar joined the woman at her bedside.
Doctors say most of the people who get a visit from the sweet-faced, gray-and-white cat are so ill they probably don't know he's there, so patients aren't aware he's a harbinger of death. Most families are grateful for the advance warning, although one wanted Oscar out of the room while a family member died. When Oscar is put outside, he paces and meows his displeasure.
No one's certain if Oscar's behavior is scientifically significant or points to a cause. Teno wonders if the cat notices telltale scents or reads something into the behavior of the nurses who raised him.
Nicholas Dodman, who directs an animal behavioral clinic at the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and has read Dosa's article, said the only way to know is to carefully document how Oscar divides his time between the living and dying.
If Oscar really is a furry grim reaper, it's also possible his behavior could be driven by self-centered pleasures like a heated blanket placed on a dying person, Dodman said.
Nursing home staffers aren't concerned with explaining Oscar, so long as he gives families a better chance at saying goodbye to the dying.
Oscar recently received a wall plaque publicly commending his "compassionate hospice care."

This came into my spirit about the sparrow and your husband.
In my studies on life after death and my having had strange
encounters with butterflies suddenly appearing when
someone we are thinking about or they are thinking about us
on the other side is trying to communicate with us.
If butterflies, why not birds, just a thought.

That was interesting...I loved the pictures...and to think that there are people who just won't believe there are grander things in life, or unexplicable things....like the spirit at our home last night that was poking at my hubbys feet.....hubby refused to wake up...said to it, "If you are a bad spirit, go away!" "If you are a good spirit, stay and protect us." He is strong like that...they didn't bother me though...I slept through it all....lol!
