Has anyone tried ToupTek microscope cameras?   Message List

Re: Has anyone tried ToupTek microscope cameras?

Thanks a lot, Inf+2, I tried that with much greater success. It still is a
very sensitive camera. I still wonder about the filters that are supposed
to cut light with not changing color. Are they called, Neutral? Anyway, I
don't have one but would get one if it would help. As I mentioned way back
when, if one turns the light intensity down a lot, even with the halogen,
the color shifts to the red.

Thanks for the new info. It does work better. Still wish someone could
chime in with the filter issue: what they are called and if they would
lessen intensity without a red-shift.

Appreciatively,

Ed

Thanks for the "map" I'll check it out. You asked my preference. The wood photomicrographs that I take end up mostly on the web or in magazines. While I think...

Hi Ed, Did your 1.3 MP camera have the same problem as the 5 MP (not going quite far enough down the tube)? It looks like someone else in the group is having...

Hi Ed, Previously, I told you how you could access the controls so you could adjust the light sensitivity (and other camera adjustments), however this put the...

No, I didn't have any problem with the 1.3M camera. As a matter of fact, the sweet spot was right in the middle of the tubes threads. I haven't tried your...

Hi Ed, For a camera, it would be called a neutral density filter, I would think there would be a similar thing for a microscope.  I assume you are intending...
