Thunderbird Tutorial
http://www.nidelven-it.no/articles/introduction_to_thunderbird
Thunderbird is one of those programs which can compete with MS Outlook Express,
not only because it has similar functionality, but it's also user friendly, and
it's freeware.
Thunderbird, and other Open Source programs, are products developed by a
community of developers. As everything else, this community ain't flawless. IMHO
it seems they use too much energy and time developing programs, and fighting the
everlasting battle against monopoly. I'm sure I'm not the first one to think
about this, but what if the community had spent more time enlightening the
masses? I don't see myself as a guru when it comes to handling programs, yet
Thunderbird is quite easy to use.
People's fear of the new and unknown might be a missed issue, which needs to be
put on the agenda. Throughout this article, I will try to help you understand
Thunderbird, as the excellent, free program it is.

Working with the Documents Menu
As you probably know, the Documents menu can display up to 15 documents. It's an
easy way to get back to a document you opened recently.
But when the Documents menu contains many items, it can be difficult to quickly
find the one you're looking for.
To remedy this situation, you can remove all items from the Documents menu to
start fresh. To do so, click the Start button and select Settings | Taskbar from
the menu.
When the Taskbar Properties sheet appears, select the Start Menu Programs tab,
and
then click the Clear button and click OK.
To selectively remove documents from the Documents menu, open your
C:\Windows\Recent folder. This folder contains shortcuts to the documents listed
on the Document menu. Delete the file name(s) you don't want displayed in the
Documents menu from this folder.

Microsoft Debuts Desktop Search Tool

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp., the world's largest maker of software,
on Sunday released the finalized version of its desktop search tool, taking aim
at Google Inc. and other rivals in the increasingly competitive search market.
The MSN Search Toolbar, which was introduced on a trial basis five months ago,
provides a way to search for e-mail, documents and other data stored on hard
drives much more quickly and efficiently than the "Find" function found in
Windows.
