Olympus did make a Minolta to Olympus adapter for their Pen cameras, but that
won't
help you.
Minolta made a 17mm MD lens, and Sigma made a 14mm. Both are non-fisheye
lenses, but hard to find.

There were others that made 17mm & 18mm non-fisheye lenses. I have an 18mm
Sigma that has an f2.8 aperture and built-in filters. But if you want to go
wider than this, your options are very limited.

Hello,
I just purchased a working model XE7 that I'm looking forward to
enjoying when I return to the states in May.
It has one issue: it is missing the plastic off of the film advance
lever.
Do any of you know of a source for this type of item? Several years ago
I was very involved in this group and there were several sources then.
If you have one of these - or know of a source for this piece, please
let me know.
Thanks,
Jeff M

There are also T mount lenses (manual aperture) to fit the MD bayonet,
and M-42 should work, depending on the flange to film plane distance
(don't have my reference in front of me, but I'm sure I've done it).
If those work, you could go for the Peleng 8mm. Just remember the old
adage - the price you pay for a lens is usually in reverse relation to
the opportunities for using it. Very true of the CZJ 1000mm I have -
over $800 in the tripod, ball head and lens plate, and shipping the
lens from Germany was over $250 - and it's been on three outings so
far. YMMV

I've got lots of Minolta stuff for sale on EBAY right now. It all ends
on Sunday and everything starts at 99 CENTS. There's a great XGM
outfit, X-9, Minolta flashes, autowinders, lenses, a very early cable
release, extension tubes, Auto Bellows outfit, and more. Most of it is
in mint condition.
I will start listing some nice stuff on Ebay starting this weekend. It is
mostly XK/XM/X-1 stuff but there will be some other interesting items as well.
My Ebay ID is 'duntov'.
A few of the selection:
Two boxed XK camera bodies
P Finder
Hard-to-find AE finder with the +/- top plate done by Minolta Service Center
Mint SR-M
Assorted XK and X-1 camera bodies and finders
25mm Micro Bellows Lens
100mm F4 Bellows lens (the small one) New Old Stock
100cm (1000mm) f6.3 Mirror lens from 1965 (yes, really)
Autobellows III proprietary cable (the one that is usually missing)
Vivitar Series 1, VMC, 28mm f1.9 for Minolta. Awesome fast lens.
45mm f2.8 TRUE pancake lens. The real deal.
Many original Minolta MC and MD lens service manuals in binders.
XM Motor camera, mint
X-1 Motor camera, mint
Spare film spool and case for the SR-M and XK 250 frame bulk film backs.
Minolta mini tripod, TR-1
I may find some additional items also. If anyone wants to submit a serious
offer on any of these items prior to going to auction, you can e-mail me at
jberard@... or call 407-509-4962.
Thanks,
John

All I could get was $1 each and all I charged was $4 for shipping. I sold each
one with a new capacitor which you can't buy for $1.

Anyway, I shipped them off to Garry's Camera repair so he can use them for parts
and maybe help keep other people's X700s working. Yes, I sent them to him for
free, I couldn't bring myself to just throw them in the trash.

Hello
If you haven't thrown 'em out, I'd go $15 plus the $10 for shipping. Can
always use them for parts.

Does it have mirror lock up (a round switch on the barrel mount below the
shutter release)

-------------- Original message from "kb7vkl" <kb7vkl@...>: --------------
I just got this camera back from Garry's after an over haul a short time ago,
I've run one roll of film thru it since the service and it worked perfectly. I
have decided that I want to dispose of all my film equipment at this time and I
wanted to give the good folks in these Minolta groups first shot at this one.
It's a black model in okay to nice shape, it has a couple minor dings in its
sheet metal and some brassing. If there's any interest at all I'll take some pix
and post them where all can see. Being that this is freshly overhauled I figure
a fair price would be $100 shipped to any of the lower 48 USA states. Should I
bother with the pix or am I totally out of line with the value of this camera
body? What says the throng of interested onlooker?

Hey,
That was some sort of mistake. I was looking at the 28mm, f/3.5 and wrote down
35mm on my sheet of paper - hands don't always do what the eyes tell them to.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have a friend interested in selling his APO. This lens is in near-mint
condition. He's not a member of the group, so I'm posting for him. He is
fielding offers before listing on eBay.
Hi all... tried to post f/mail. didn't work.
I'm selling my favorite lens w/caps and original metal hood. Glass and mechanics
are nearly very few dust specks, clean, snappy aperture, and very clean glass
(for it age, almost perfect), but the body has two issues: a missing "Minolta
ROKKOR" lens identification ring, and a little dark stuff on the aperture ring.
I cleaned this as much as I needed; you may want to take it a step further. I
looked for two years for a repl. ring, with no luck.
I'm thinking about 215 U.S. for the lens. You can find a few pictures (both URLs
go to the same place) here:

This is the first time I've sold anything here, but I've been around a long
time. PayPal works best.
Shipping? call it even at $5.00. For Insurance, email me, and we'll work
something out for you.

I have a Minolta Lens made in Japan MC W Rokkor-NL 1:2.8 f=21mm , serial
number 1501495. I found this lens in a box of various photography equipment
which I threw all except this lens--what a find. The optics on the lens are far
from perfect. The back glass has scuff marks, and the front glass is not perfect
either. There is no fungus.Aperture works smoothly, no oil on blades.Focus is
fine also. This would not be a lens for a professional. I am a amatuer, and I
enjoyed this lens, I took mostly landscapes with it and was completely
satisfied. If anybody would like to try the lens, I would be willing to send it
for a trial period. After using it, we could figure out what its worth.I want no
money before its tried out.Its a great lens, but its far from perfect-thats why
I'm selling it this way. Would be a way for some one to play with a 21mm ! If
you are not happy with the lens all I ask is you send it back.I have some more
Minolta gear I'll probably be selling soon also. Thanks--tom
