Trapped miners rescued in Hunan province
LENGSHUIJIANG, Hunan, Nov. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Six people trapped in a coal mine were rescued Sunday evening, about seven hours after the mine caved in at Lengshuijiang, a city in central China's Hunan Province.
The rescued including the mine owner could walk out of the mine themselves and they are in good condition, said Yi Zhen, vice mayor of Lengshuijiang.
After the cave-in, relevant departments have tried hard to rescue the trapped and 40 rescuers were divided into four groups for rescue, he said.
The mine first reported seven people trapped underground, but soon found the exact number of the trapped was six.
