Having downloaded it about two hours ago, I have to say, it is probably the
best 19.95 I spent. I have a few thoughts I'd like to share:
1) The writing is very well done, approachable and who really knew Gary
/was/ a rocket scientist. So now I can't use the joke "It's not rocket
science" any more :)
2) It covers all the major aspects of the 7D/5D without going into boring
and intricate detail. I think Gary found a great mix of detail and
high-level overview.
Without giving a spoiler, I would have liked to see mentioning release
priority on the shutter in addition to disabling AF with shutter. If you
need to rapid fire, that's the way to do it.
Price....so here I thought I'd be clever. I'd download the book, get
permission from Gary to print it and head down to Kinko's. I thought 70
dollars was a bit expensive for a hard copy. I was wrong. It's a bargain!
Kinkos was going to charge 89 cents per page + 10 dollars to bind it.
That's 294 (293.91) dollars without sales tax! If you want the hard copy,
don't quibble over it being 70 bucks, that's a good price.
I'd say by and large you hit this one out of the park, Gary.
