Modeled after vintage analog phaser circuits, Blue Cat's Phaser reproduces this old vintage phasing effect that you can find on so many recordings, but with the precision of modern digital processing techniques. You can choose to apply up to 32 phasing stages, pushing the model to its limits, or create a subtle phasing effect with wet and feedback parameters set to a few percents.

You can also control the phase of the signal in the wet and feedback paths (these parameters can have negative values), which extends the possibilities of the model: the included factory presets will show you how many sounds you can get from this effect.

The MIDI control capabilities of this plug-in let you use it with any hardware or software MIDI controller, and the User Interface is totally customizable thanks to Blue Cat's Skinning Language support.

Impromptu is an OSX programming environment for composers, sound artists, VJ's and graphic artists with an interest in live or interactive programming. Impromptu is a Scheme language environment, a member of the Lisp family of languages.

Time plays a major role in the Impromptu environment allowing accurate real-time scheduling of events and code. Impromptu is a dynamic environment designed for the creation and manipulation of running programs in live performance.

Impromptu is a programmable AudioUnit host. A powerful environment for creating signal processing graphs of arbitrary complexity with precise programmatic control over individual AU nodes. Musical material can be precisely scheduled for performance by any AudioUnit instrument node and parameters, program changes and presets can be programmatically changed on-the-fly as well as directly via the AU's user interface.

Impromptu allows you to write, modify, compile and hot swap custom signal processing code - an ability that allows you to write low level sound synthesis code during live performance. This functionality is designed to interoperate with the AudioUnit signal graph allowing you to freely mix your favorite AudioUnits with custom synthesis code. All on-the-fly of course.

Graphics routines can be applied with the same temporal accuracy as audio material allowing artists to tightly integrate audio and visual components. OpenGL, live video processing, vector drawing routines, image rendering, CoreImage filters, text rendering and quicktime movie support are a few of the graphics features available for artists to play with.

Mutine is a synthedit made vst audio effect, based on the Mutator.

I made two different versions, one for the vintage realistic look aficionados, and the other, with a more user friendly interface.

Mutine is 2 envelope followers and 2 lfo's, that triggers volume or cutoff

Envelope followers can be set to follow left channel, right channel or both.

The effect can also be set to apply on left, right or both channels.

That way, you can use Mutine on a group channel, with for instance, a drum on left that triggers envelope follower, and a pad on right, that will be chopped by drum pattern.

Mutine also responds to midi notes

so what does it do and why do i need one ?

The major sketch pad is basically a step sequencer combined with a chorder. Each time it gets triggered by a midi note the step sequencer steps forward
and each step can contain a new, different chord. The chords aren't locked to a predefined pitch. This means that you can try out chord combinations and
see how your melodies will sound with different chords applied to them, or just jam away.

The main idea behind the sketch pad is to make it easier for people who are having a hard time coming up with songs to at least get a "rough" arrangement
sketch that they can continue to work with. It is, after all, often the beginning of a song that is the hard part to come up with.
