Hi, everyone.  We are sending this email in hopes that you can help us raise funds for the Cat Call kitties.

 

While donations are down due to a bad economy, the number of cats who need us is not!  

 

We are trying to raise much-needed funds to help cover spaying/neutering, vaccinations, food, medication, micro-chipping, flea control pr oducts, vet bills, etc.

 

The first of the fundraising projects we have undertaken is online magazine sells.  New subscriptions can be purchased, as well as renewals of existing ones. 

 

As you will see at the link below, there are over 650 titles available to cover many, many interests and hobbies (including "Cat Fancy" and "I Love Cats").  There is a field which will allow you to do a keyword search.   Just a few categories include children, family & parenting, news, sports, home & garden, health & fitness -- and even men's interests.  Just think... every time you receive your magazine in the mail, you will get a warm-and-fuzzy feeling, knowing you helped the cats!    :-)

 

CatCall will receive 40% of each magazine purchase, so if all of you were to order just one subscription, it would add up to a substantial amount of funds to help improve the overpopulation problem, reduce the euthanasia rate in the shelters, and give many cats and kittens a chance at a happy and healthy life.

The second way you can help the cats is by saving your used/empty ink jet cartridges for recycling.  Not only will you be helping the cats, but recycling is also good for the environment.

 

Once you have collected at least 5 cartridges, please email JoJo to make arrangements to get them:  www.JojoHulett2003@yahoocom.. The only requirement is that the cartridges be small enough to fit in the palm of your hand... the recycling company does not accept toner cartridges.

Last but not least... the third fundraiser-

 

We are participating in Tropical Nights, a silent auction event, being sponsored by Animal Based Charities and Jack/Jewell Talman, to be held August 15th in Tampa. 

 

This event could generate a lot of funds for CatCall -- and be a lot of fun.  Several rescue groups will be participating, so it will be a great opportunity to network with fellow animal-lovers.  

 

Regular tickets are $40 and VIP tickets are $75.  CatCall will receive a substantial portion of the gross revenue from the tickets our group sells.  In addition, we will receive a substantial portion of the gross proceeds of any silent auction items we provide.  The best part of this is that while there will be plenty of food, drinks, and fun, we don’t have to set up or clean up-

 

Wendy DePaul has kindly offered to write requests for donations from businesses.  If any of you have any contacts with a business who might donate something that can be auctioned off, please let Wendy know so she can get the letter for you:  wendy@...
