This is a group in Eastern North Dakota/Western Minnesota that originally got together during a Community Education class and decided to form a buyer's group to purchase local/organic products.

My Sister's Farm convened its second public farmer's market on Thursday, March 27, in the Moorhead Central Mall, 6:30-8:00 pm. There were the same number of vendors as last month. Buyers could select grass-fed organic beef, local honey, homemade bread, free-range heirloom chickens, organic wheat and flax, and organic potatoes. Publicity for the market drew in larger crowds than last month, and vendors reported increased sales. Hugh Dufner and Mark Askegaard both said that it isn't just the sales that matter; its the chance to meet people and give them the opportunity to put a face with their products. Both Dufner and Askegaard have products in local super markets.
Several shoppers milled around the market for the entire evening talking with each other, renewing acquaintances, catching up with news.
The Bob Petry family, meanwhile, set the mood with live blue grass music. Please see the Calendar for upcoming events.
