We are using mrInterview 3.1. Its a very easy tool but have very limited option. Means we can design very limited amount of question from it.
 
We can learn it very easily as it is GUI based. but the problem arises when we require to design complex quesitons.
 
It uses IOM scripts which I am not aware of. There are some inbuilt IOM scripts which we can use very easily but issue arises when we want to write IOM script by own.
 
We are able to make following using mrinterview 3.1
 
1. single response quesitons
2. multiple response questions
3. grids
4. constant sum questions
5. ranking questions
6. text questions
7. numeric quesitons
8. using lists
9. applying HTML coding
 
But many things are still left. Such as.
 
  1. No option for Username & Password fields.
  2. Drop-down questions cannot be programmed in such a way so that the drop-down list appears side-by-side to the question text. ***
  3. For a constant sum question, the sum of responses cannot be displayed under the response options.
  4. For questions like unique numeric ranking, 5-6 numbers of questions have to be programmed for it to work fine.
  5. Combinational grid questions cannot be designed where a numeric response has to be entered along with a drop-down selection. *
Please let me know if you have any knowledge regarding mrinterview.
 
Also let me know the procedure you apply in order to make online surveys from older versions of mrinterview..do you use scriptwriter station

As an SPSS employee, I'll try to give you some non-biased comments. :) The Build (web-based) activity doesn't expose all the capabilities of mrInterview....
