As an SPSS employee, I'll try to give you some non-biased
comments. :)
The Build (web-based) activity doesn't expose all the capabilities
of mrInterview. Ease-of-use was the priority for the Build
activity. Most (well, really all) of the things you mention can be
done using scripting. In Build, script snippets with customized
templates can be used to do some of what you mention but that does
require some scripting, HTML, and Javascript knowledge.
In the next version (3.5 - April/May), there will be a new feature
called 'Custom Controls' which will make it easier for Build to
support some of the things you mention below. This will allow you
to tie special templates to questions (i.e. calendar control,
slider, etc.). We will provide a couple of examples. But hopefully
people will create and _share_ these templates.
