I am not aware f any cache files that studio would use, so I think
you would need to check a few things on your slow machine. When the
script is running, look at the memory in the taskbar, is it flipping
out and using swap space? I suspect it is and hence the slow down. To
help improve this you can make sure you don't have unwanted programs
running, check taskbar and see what is using memory and stop them if
needed. Another thing to do would be to do a checkdisk and a defrag.
If you have a really defragmented system then when the data is being
written to the disk it will take longer.
So in general my thoughts would be there is something making your
machine slower or using most of the memory up ?
Oh and i agree with kylesimpson 4.5 should be faster.
