The next  NEASBS meeting is scheduled for Thursday May 8 at 6:30 at
3783 Presidential Parkway, Suite 126, Atlanta Ga. It will be a
roundtable meeting with the speakers committee scheduling  the next
few months presentations. Two minor incentives to join the meeting.
Pizza will be served if you RSVP. There will also be a SBS 2003
fleece vest drawing. Yes, there is no SBS 2008 swag out yet but the
SBS 2003 vest is cool.

I know some people will be attending Jeff Middleton's IT Pro
Conference in New Orleans this weekend. I hope we will get a report

I just edited the group membership to take the people I know off
moderate. I was out of town attending the Microsoft MVP Summit last
week. Believe it or not internet access is sort of crummy for
visitors. That is why Ryan's post is so late. If anyone else needs to

We changed the meetings from third Thursday of the month to second

Rumor has it that Microsoft is going to announce pricing and other
things May 13 or was it May 15. Well the exact date does not really
matter. That announcement may affect how you want to sell servers to
customers now and until the time SBS 2008 is released. Sorry for the
obtuse info but a lot of things I hear at the Microsoft MVP Summit
are non-disclosure things. They may tell us something that requires
the secret handshake and decoder ring.

SBS 2008 myths and truths. Are there any out there? General discussion
of the latest press releases. 50 or 75 users? Second server in
Premium? SQL 2008? 79 gigs of ram required? 3.7 terabytes of hard
drive in raid 10? Lots of questions that might affect current
installs.

Macs in the wonderful world of SBS. How do they integrate in to AD?
Does Entourage work running through the wizard? Some Mac questions
discussed.

Hello everybody,
    It was good to meet a few weeks ago and I'm looking forward to it
next month.  Especially since I won't be able to make it to the other
group's Wednesday night meetings.  So you're all I've got.

I had shared my experiences with Reflexion at the last meeting and
mentioned the "RADAR" feature that synchronizes with Exchange Server
as a complete backup solution that can be accessed when Exchange is
down.  I had erroneously assumed that feature was included in the
standard package (much like the ExchangeDefender archive is).  But I
was wrong, they charge $6 per user per month extra for the feature,
which includes 2 GB of storage per user (but cumulative, a 25 person
company has a shared 50GB of storage).

Comparing RADAR to ExchangeDefender's archive isn't quite a fair
comparison, one is to let you read e-mail in a single inbox as a
backup measure when you can't get into OWA.  The other was designed to
be a complete backup of OWA.  So I would think it is worth an extra
few dollars.  Not sure about $6, but they are giving me a free month
on my own account to try it out.  Feel free to ask me about it at the
next meeting.

that silly me forgot my address. We are at suite 126. There have been
a number of new folks asking about the meeting so it is possible we
