Director of Engineering – Reconstruction and Detection

Responsible for leading a group of Ph.D. level engineers, physicists, and mathematicians in developing image reconstruction and automatic detection algorithms used for security imaging.  Enhance and develop new methodologies to systematically design, implement, and test advanced algorithms that determine the potential presence of security threats in highly cluttered images of baggage, cargo, personnel, and any other imaged item.  Participates in customer discussions and interprets those requests and requirements into specifications or specific modifications to existing products.  Communicates design concepts and methods to the technical team for implementation.  Manages the development of the algorithm and detection engineering team by providing and following individual development plans for team members.  Is the primary company point of contact with customer technical experts in the area of threat detection.
