This will be the largest gathering of the Greater Boston Chinese community in the effort of earthquake relief. Subject: [CHN2004] Boston Chinese Sichuan Earthquake Relief Benefit Concert

 

Dear CSSA Members,

 

The disastrous earthquake in Sichuan and its neighboring provinces have taken

away lives of more than 34000 our fellow Chinese people. In addition, more than

245,000 people have been found insured so far. From May 19th to May 21st,

Chinese people all over the world are observing the National Mourning Days to

the victims during the earthquake. Our hearts and thoughts are with our fellow

Chinese people.

 

While we are all mourning for the tremendous loss from the disaster, we all want

to do our best to help the relief effort in our motherland. On Saturday May

25th, 2008, nearly 100 Chinese community organizations and individuals in

Greater Boston will join hands and hearts with the people of China to provide

assistance through a benefit concert. The entire proceeds from the concert will

be donated to the earthquake relief efforts.

 

The CSSA will sell tickets on the following time: Tuesday May 20th, 3pm-6pm;

Wednesday May 21st, 6pm-9pm. Ticket price is $25 each. Ticket sales will be at

Ashdown front desk during the above time. Only limited number of tickets are

allocated to the MIT community. Please come at your earliest convenient time to

get the tickets.
