The New Jersey Mycological Association is non-profit organization whose aims are to provide a means for sharing ideas, experiences, knowledge and common interests regarding NJ fungi, and to furnish mycological information and educational materials to those who wish to increase their knowledge about mushrooms.

This group is open to anyone who is interested in mushrooms, whether or not you're a member of the NJMA. This Yahoo Group is NOT a substitute for the NJMA website, www.njmyco.org, and club information and events, newsletters, membership applications, and mushroom recipes can be found there, not here.

DISCLAIMER: Be aware that no one should rely on information or photos posted to this group for identification of any mushroom, for any purpose, by anyone. Mushroom identification is a tricky science, and positive identification by a seasoned expert (preferably with specimen in hand) is the only reliable way to "pin down" a mushroom's identitiy. NJMA is not responsible for any identifications (or attempts at identification) which may show up on this board.
