My thoughts:
1. Display
Use the existing layout of the catalog. Under the format view there would be a new format..."Podcasts".
If you opened up a record you would see something like the following:
If you click the link in the rich text "attachment" field it would play either audio or video, depending on what it was.
2. Loading
The most difficult part of this is to automatically load the data. My thought was do decipher the MP3 data programmatically and load it into a NOTEbookS record. So there would be a button (possibly in the MARC import screen) which would say "Import Podcasts". It would allow you to browse through your My Music folder on your computer, select the podcasts you wished to load, and it wold then programmatically load them into the NOTEbookS catalog. The rest of this (the display portion) can be done without programming.

Would not jhust require a feed - need to create a new view for it - ie Format Podcasts - but then need sub headings of subjects.....
Actually would require quite a thinkthrough of how to display.

Hi Beau In which database do you recommend we place podcasts - each one is an individual topic but part of a series produced by the same institution. In what field would the file be stored? Would it be playable?
