Re: [NOTEbookSLIS] Serials circulation

Hi Beau

We don't issue journals so not a big issue for us.

The intention for serials circ is that you are responding to a request for the material from the serials circ database, not from serials directly.  We could expand the system to do the checkout directly from serials, but it will require quite a lot of coding.  Want it in the queue?

[NOTEbookSLIS] Serials circulation

Hi Beau,

We find it very awkward and time consuming to issue out a journal given the current system.

Am I correct that currently we have to:

Go to serials,

Find the issue,
Request it

Go to serials circulation and then issue it .

Please can this be thought through again as there must be an easier way!  Does anyone else find this a very ponderous process?

Thanks

Di
