We experience a different problem with the circulation module. When
checking in items the circulation record would show that the patron no
longer had the item out but the catalog maintained the checked out status.
The only way to get rid of the status issue was to go into the catalog and
change the status. This kind of defeated the purpose of having everything
online. This problem only occurred once in a while that we noticed but it
has been a pain.
Our staff fills out all the ill requests online. I am in a university
situation and it became necessary to do so. When we use the lookup names
button, search for a patron and selected the patrons information was not
fully transferred to the record. Though this is not major it shouldn't be
like this. I have mentioned this to Beau but no solution was reached.
Kind Regards,

Please respond to [NOTEbookSLIS] Circulation records
NOTEbookSLIS@yaho being deleted by unknown agents

HI,
Please can you let me know whether any of you have experienced
problems with the circulation system. We are issuing out books and
2/3 days afterwards when we check the record or want to check the
book in - it cannot be found - although the catalogue record still
says checked out.
This has been happening with us for an unknown period of time and we
currently are resorting to a manual print system but still have
approx 800 records of books apparently out on loan and we do not
know who they are on loan to.
We have logged all transactions in the database, printed proof of
the loan, and done everything we can but both Beau and our developer
are stumped. So far all we have ascertained is that at about 8 at
night possibly something is going and wiping all the information
from the circulation record - the record is still there but it
contains no information. However we cannot trace what is doing this.
Any ideas or other experiences?
Thanks,
Di Kruger
