Bug Repair
In the catalog, Series view, individual titles do not appear under the
series.  This has been repaired in the production template.

Enhancements
Patrons can now renew their own books on line!  The Circulation
database has been enhanced with a new button on the individual patrons'
view of what they have checked out (which is typically navigated to
from the Homepage).  The button, which is enabled from the Circulation
database's switches in Configuration, allows them to renew so long as
the material is not on reserve by another patron.  Catalog and
Circulation templates are in Kit A on the production site.

The Homepage View Loans and Requests button has been rewritten to
resolve seveal setup issues which have orrucrred.  The updated template
is in Kit D on the produciton site.

I'm interested in whether customers would like to integrate any ebook
subscription services in NOTEbookS.  If you are currently using any
services would you let me know which ones, and whether you'd like to
have their titles integrated into NOTEbookS (as a feed, or as a link)?

Since the information is relatively confidential please email me

The views in the NOTEbookS catalog have been modified so that a
paperclip appears whenever there is an attachment anywhere in a
document.  This enhancement is in the "A" Kit.  Your Notes
administrator must download the kit, unzip it, and apply the template
to your catalog for it to take effect.

Unless I hear differently I intend to modify the paper clip icon on the
NOTEbookS catalog to display whenever there is any attachment within a
document (other than just for the PDF field, as previously displayed).

Please let me know if this will cause any complications at your site.

On the web side of NOTEbookS a customer has requested we move the
Submit and Cancel buttons to the bottom of the patron request form.  I
am happy to comply if that's what the conncensus wants.  If you have a
strong feeling either way please email me.  There is a snapshot of the

A bug in the NOTEbookS Homepage (web version only) pulled up wrong page
under resources.  As a result users could not browse databases. This
has been reqpaired in a new release, NBHP21708.NTF (Kit D).  If you use
the NOTEbookS Homepage on the web, you must edit each of your database
entries in the Homepage to include the opening URL for these databases.
If there are questions please contact Beau Schless for further
asistance.  If you do not use the Homepage database on the web this
upgrade does not affect you.

A bug was found when attempting to request material when the user is
not in the library staff group.  It has been repaired in the production
Kit A (on the production site, TMPLT - NBBKS21608.NTF).  If your users
are experiencing problems requesting material from Notes you may want
to download the laterst release.

A bug was found in the latest Circulation update that was posted last
Thursday, 7/17/08.  The result is that there will be an error in the
log in the autormatic overdue notices that are sent out.  An update has
been posted to the production A Kit today (7/19/08) which repairs the
agent.

The following changes have been made to the NOTEbookS Catalog:

- The default delivery method now appears on the echckout form.
- If only one copy/volume exists system defaults to this copy (and does
not prompt for one).
- Several patron fields are now populating correctly on patron dialog
box.

In Circulation patron transfers now set the date required to today's
date. It will now show up properly in the Labels view.

These two templates have been updated on the RASCO production web
site.  Your Notes administrator will need to download them and replace
designs, then have the databases signed on the server ifthese chagnes
affect you.

At the request of seveal users the SDocPDF field (the one used to hold
PDFs and attachments on the catalog form) has been moved up the form.
Note that this will not effect existing database attachments.  The new
template is on the production site, A Kit, as TMPLT - NBBKS17808.NTF
