Due to hurricane Ike, the Beaumont Holiday Inn Plaza is closed for
repairs until the end of November 2008. The Plaza is calling each
person personally to cancel their reservations with the hotel. We are
moving the symposiuim headquarters to Jasper, Texas. Jasper is
located on the north side of the Big Thicket.

Pavillion in the Pines - directions from Jasper, take Highway 96 North
approximately five miles to CR249. You will see cafe "Wings Over
Jasper" at CR249. Turn right off Highway 96. The road will curve to
the left. Cross over a small bridge and take the 2nd right after the
bridge to CR253. It is approximately 6/10 mile from Highway 96 to CR

Sunday fieldtrips will leave from the three hotels as noted in
registration packets.
