hello everybody,
I am a chemical engineering student and i want to pursue my career in nanotechnology, so please tell me the areas in which chemical engineering can play a role in nanotechnology.
hi everybody!! am doing BSc advanced zoology and biotechnology...so totally a
biology student and i want to pursue my career in nanotechnology,so please tell
me the areas in which biology speciffically zoology can play a role.... please
!!
Im very glad to say that i synthesized Starch stabilized Magnetic Nano particle by chemical co-precipitation method using Ferrous and ferric chloride. SEM image infers the particle size about 40-50nm...But i couldnt get the uniform distribution...What can i do to get the uniform distribution. FRIT spectra shows the presence of starch coated...But I have a doublet between 2800-2400 cm-1 at 2355.98 and 2342.58 cm-1.....How can i infer this doublet...What it actually tells....

Dear all,
Hope you are doing well.Is there anybody working on PLURONICS?Does pluronic
coating on a nanoparicle impose any hindrance during freeze
drying(lyophilization), leaving residual moisture in the product?
Hope someone can help me out.Thanking you.
With Best Regards

Hi dr \p.Gokul
i am Dr mahmoud gamal from egypt
and doing master in nano medicen in the same field on iroin oxide
i sugest for you to tray another method for prepration like micro emultion method you can get the particel size in about 5 -10 nano meter .
Im awaiting for your answer. ....

Thanks for your comment... I did it using wet chemical Methods... Can we use any Homogeniser to come the particle size into the submicron range...

Hello P.Gokul,
as you are aware the 5 micron is problematic. that size would definitely diffuse too slowly and very likely to have too much interaction in magnetics. you need to get down to 250nm to be optimalbut anything sub-micron will probably suit your purposes.
i'm thinking you are either using for bioassays or in vivo purposes. are you creating by sputtering and subsequent lift-off patterning? i'm thinking maybe not the latter due to your yield-size.
if you are referring to modification of the nanoparticles you alreay have the first thing that comes to mind is ball-milling. its dirty as it leads to impurities. couls use tungsten carbide constituent in an inert atmosphere. do you have access to high vacuum chamber? this and the tungsten could help limit the impurities.
you might consider next time using dopant of some sort when you make your nanovectors. heat treatment is another technique to control size. to maintain structural integrity of your microparticles you will very likely need to utilise a subatmospheric environment and some insrt-gas.
some may have better suggestions.
great success to you,
ddd
