Hi David,
I'm using a mixture of open and closed questions. The open questions
are exploratory and trying to determine the reasons why agile
approaches are adopted or rejected. The closed questions are on Likert
scales and are based on theoretical adoption models which highlight
organisational and technological factors that govern adoption.
The results aim to distinguish between adopters and non-adopters of
agile methods based on these factors above. For example, there may be
a distinct trend that organisations that are more open are more
conducive to adopting agile methods (I don't know yet).
The sample size is unknown because the sample is not stratisfied so in
theory I do not known my population ... I only have contacts through
the people I know (snowball sampling)and groups, such as the yahoo
groups. So far I've had 50 'good' responses in the last 5 days, but
I'm hoping for quite a bit more.
Any advice or sources greatly appreciated ... also, filling in the
questionnaire would be a bonus! :-)
Thanks to Charles & Murray who have filled in the questionnaire
already ... cheers guys!
Ant
