Cognitive Neurosciences of Costa Rica
The nature of the cognitive neurosciences,is the product of the research of multi-, inter-and transdisciplinary a wide range of sciences and technologies such as: neurosciences: neurochemistry, neurophysiology, neuroanatomy, neuropsycoendocrinology, neuropsycopharmacology, neurolinguistic, neurophilosophy, cognitive neurobiology, intelligent neurocomputation, and so on. Formal sciences: theoretical logic, probability and statistics and some areas of mathematics. Objectuals technologies: functional programming and logical programming, artificial intelligence, expert systems, genetic programming, computational linguistics, neural networks, neurotomography, etc. Historic-subjectual sciences: cognitive sociology, cognitive anthropology, cognitive linguistic, and so on. Subjectual sciences: cognitive psychology, cognitive psycobiology, etc. Subjectual technologies:applied experimental psychology, psychiatry, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and so on. Its epistemological and methodological models are built through intertheoretical processes among objectual sciences(natural) and historic-subjectual sciences(social),as well as between engineering technologies(objectuals)and social technologies(subjectuals). Thus, these proposals beyond the methodological dualism between the natural sciences(explanatory-predictive)and the social sciences(comprehensive or historic-subjectuals)and their interdisciplinary applications, become an inclusive alternative of the other two, while science and technology across all models built their objectives: theoretical models of action, implementation or transformation on the basis of cognitive processes and models(subjective) earlier. The inter-theoretical results from cognitive neuroscience, offer comprehensive tools, including explanatory and predictive methods to account for cognitive-subjectuals processes involved in the construction of the objectuals models, each of the other sciences.
