Description

David Rohl's publications Lords of Avaris, Pharaohs and Kings, (UK ~ A Test of Time), Legend ~ Genesis Of Civilisation, and The Lost Testament are studied and discussed, along with more recent work building on this foundation. If you want to see Egyptology, archaeology, and archaeoastronomy line up with Old Testament narratives, this is the list for you. Subjects range from the Mediterranean to Mesopotamia, from Narmer to Nebuchadnezzar!

Our purpose ~ to study the New Chronology proposed by David Rohl and developed by others. We explore this framework of chronology using a variety of disciplines, aiming to understand and clarify the implications of his proposals. We consider some other alternate chronologies in circulation by way of comparison, but our prime goal remains the discussion of David Rohl's chronological outline. This is not an Orthodox Chronology group, nor is it a free-for-all on alternatives. The Bible is used and accepted as a historical document, along with other textual and related evidence.

Beginner or scholar - you are welcome if you are excited or curious about David Rohl's work, and you enjoy ancient history, archaeology, and timelines.
