I also picked up the 35mm prime lens about three weeks ago. After being told it
would be weeks to months to get it from the large suppliers my favorite small
store salesman had one for me the next day! It is a fabulous lens and it will
be on my camera most of the time. Sharp as a tack.

I also have the 18-200 and relly like it. I bought the Nikon 50mm 1.8, and it's pretty good, but for DX cameras, it is just a bit long to use as a normal lens....
