Download one of the recovery applications, "System Rescue" or "Recovery
Is Possible" (RIP-Linux) and us it to boot your computer containing the
suspect hard drive. Either of these packages contain information to
trasnfer/recover hard drive data to another location, local or net. Find
the download sites via google.

I use both of these Linux packages to recover windows systems and hard
drive data.

Hey, I have a damaged hard drive and I need to copy all data off of it and put it on a new hard drive. The drive does fire up but the hard drive light stays on...
