This reminds me that I need to bow gracefully out of this group. I
have finally moved into the world of SLR, and thus my Coolpix 8800
has been sold on eBay.

I have bought a Canon EOS450D SLR camera, with the 18-55mm kit lens,
and a Sigma 10-20mm wide lens. I did really like my Nikon's, but the
8800's barrel distortion and slow write speeds were infuriating.
