Online Fundraising Manager – Earthjustice


Earthjustice is the nation's leading nonprofit environmental law firm
working through the courts and on Capitol Hill to preserve our
nation's natural heritage, safeguard our environmental health, and
create a sustainable energy future.

We currently seek an Internet savvy individual to manage a successful
and rapidly growing online fundraising program at our Oakland, CA
headquarters. The position is responsible for the implementation and
assessment of email fundraising strategies as part of an integrated,
multi-channel fundraising program.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working with the Director of Public Support, develop and
implement strategies for online donor acquisition, cultivation, and
solicitation.

• Coordinate the development and production of email campaigns
and related website creative with external consultants and internal
partners.

• Oversee all creative development. Edit materials developed by
outside creative team and periodically write compelling fundraising
messages in response to developments in our legal and legislative work
on behalf of the environment.

• Coordinate the data requirements for the program with in-house
data management team. Develop list specifications, segmentation and
source coding requirements, and testing objectives for each
initiative.

• Track and analyze results. Develop insights and
recommendations that will inform future email fundraising efforts and
improve the performance of the program.

• Work in partnership with members of the communications
department to develop and implement web-based fundraising initiatives.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for online donor
relations. Respond to or redirect donor comments and queries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• 2+ years of fundraising experience, online communications
experience, or some combination thereof
• Familiarity with Convio/Get Active
• Superior written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
