Database Coordinator Position Open

The Union of Concerned Scientists seeks a Database Coordinator to work with the
Database Administrator to manage the Blackbaud Raisers Edge database.
The Union of Concerned Scientists is the leading science-based nonprofit working
for a healthy environment and a safer world. This position will be based in our
Harvard Square office in Cambridge, MA.

The position is responsible for day to day database maintenance, developing and
producing queries, custom reports, and other output. Responsible for importing
and exporting gifts and other information to and from the Raiser's Edge database
and manually entering gifts and other information that cannot be imported. The
database
coordinator will make recommendations on data organization and integrity and
assist the database administrator in developing policies and procedures and
monitor data and gift entry to ensure data entry guidelines are followed.

Requires a strong attention to detail a high level of accuracy, flexibility, and
the ability to multi-task, work efficiently, and meet tight deadlines. Ability
to think analytically and follow complicated procedures is very important.

Experience with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel required. The ability to learn
advanced Access skills needed. Programming experience a big plus.
Experience with Blackbauds Raisers Edge software strongly preferred.

Familiarity with and interest in development and fund-raising techniques and
principles also preferred.
