Project Manager, E-Commerce Catalogue
(Regular, Full time, Exempt)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage the process of expanding existing partnerships/offerings
on TechSoup Stock:
- Collect, research, investigate, and analyze the
offering/product related information for the Microsoft monthly product
update and other vendor partners as assigned
- Make recommendations based on current product offerings, as
needed
- Configure new products and version updates of products in
the ecommerce catalog systems
- Input data and content into website and database systems as
necessary
- Develop and participate in the delivery of staff training
for new products as necessary.
- Implement new partner offerings as schedule and workflow
demands
* Collaborate and communicate with TechSoup content team, TechSoup
Stock operations and the Business Systems and Technical Team of
resources needed to accomplish tasks needed to accommodate changes/new
products and updates
* Provide Marketing and others with new information on product
content changes to the TechSoup Stock web site and drive related
internal announcements; create internal launch messaging and promote;
manage quarterly product information update for print catalogs
* Manage the process of updates to donated/discounted products and
services for customer service and site use; track the need for product
updates/additions/removals and update and maintain online product
catalog
* Communicate via email and/or phone with vendor partners for
product maintenance and upgrades
* Work with other appropriate internal departments to make
suggestions in documenting and improving existing procedures for
gathering needed information, researching product requirements,
restrictions and availability for site usage and creating a project
plans for appropriate team members to implement
* Develop and create requirements/forms and data collection
methods to improve product information systems in support of TechSoup
Stock
* Perform other essential job duties as required; assist in
general TechSoup Stock operational, customer service and general
department support as responsibilities allow; as well as support product
revenue, organization impact, partner satisfaction and customer
satisfaction goals
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
* At least 3 years experience with ecommerce merchandizing,
electronic product delivery (ESD) and technology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
* Understanding of needs, challenges, and requirements of an
online sales operation and sales support services
* Knowledge of the nonprofit sector highly desirable
* Knowledge of HTML and general web production highly desirable.
Knowledge of ASP and content management systems a plus
Skills:
* A customer service/client management mentality and orientation
to work
* Outstanding project and cross functional management and
leadership skills
* Proven experience successfully juggling changing and competing
priorities (particularly around program and product launch priorities)
* Excellent written and verbal communications, including email
etiquette
* Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Abilities:
* Attention to detail and experience in quality assurance
* Excellent communication skills and problem-solving orientation
* Flexibility and willingness to manage a variety and multitude of
tasks
* Ability to work productively and independently and with a high
degree of initiative

Physical Demands:
* Prolonged telephone duties using handset, headset and computer
located at the TechSoup Global facility
* Prolonged keyboard duties
* Access, input & retrieve information from a computer to produce
typed copy, free of errors, without the assistance of another person
* Willingness and capacity to work in a cubicle environment at a
workstation, and to come and go repeatedly throughout the day as is
necessary, to perform various responsibilities
* Capacity to communicate and enunciate adequately, in person or
via telephone, in a manner which can be understood by those with whom
the employee is speaking
* Capability of dialing or otherwise using a telephone to place
calls
* Capacity to pick up, leaf through and read books, files and
other materials
* Willingness and capacity to sit/stand for minimum periods of two
hours at a time
* Capacity to reach forward to a high of 48 inches, to a low of 15
inches, to the side 54 inches and to the low side 9 inches above the
floor
* Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
* Ability to load discs and to change settings, devices, fixtures,
etc., on various equipment used in and around TechSoup Global
Work Environment:
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be
exposed to various components of an office environment such as
florescent lighting, pollen, dust, recycled air, cooling fans, VDTs,
semi-enclosed areas, central heating, seasonal warmer temperatures and
office noise
