We are seeking a manger with exceptional organizational and management
skills who will use these skills to help the center thrive and to
expand the impact of InterConnection around the world.



InterConnection is a Seattle based non-profit organization founded in
1999 with a mission to make information technology accessible to
underserved communities around the world.  InterConnection operates a
center in Seattle that teaches low-income and unemployed people how to
maintain and refurbish used computers.  Volunteers gain valuable work
experience and a free computer when they complete the program.
Refurbished computers are provided to schools and non-profits around
the world.  InterConnection refurbishes approximately 400 computers
per month and is the largest non-profit computer refurbisher in
Washington State.  See www.interconnection.org



POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The job requires management experience, knowledge of computer hardware
and testing procedures, and the ability to work with a diverse group
of volunteers at all levels of experience. The manager must create a
balance between production and an enjoyable working environment.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

•     Report directly to the director and board.

•     Mentor, evaluate and motivate staff of eight employees

•     Set daily tasks and goals

•     Establish plans for meeting production goals

•     Teach weekly orientations

•     Respond to computer hardware questions

•     Troubleshoot failing computers



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•     Commitment to the mission of serving unemployed, low-income and
other non profits both locally and globally

•     Management experience

•     Knowledge of computer hardware

•     Detail oriented and well organized.

•     Excellent problem solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution
skills;

•     Willingness and ability to work with people from a variety of
racial, cultural and economic backgrounds, with various lifestyles,
and sexual orientations.

•     Ability to multi-task and take initiative.

•     Ability to motivate and engage others

•     Flexible regarding work hours, job duties and priorities

•     Outgoing and friendly personality

•     Excellent communication skills

•     Comfortable in a warehouse environment

•     Ability to multi-task and take initiative

•     Ability to lift at least 50 pounds

InterConnection Computer Reuse and Learning Center

2222 N Pacific St Seattle WA 98103



HOURS / PAY

40 hours per week. $20 per hour

Tuesday to Saturday
