The United States Institute of Peace is looking to hire a contractor in
the DC area to do distance learning work and support their SENSE
simulation learning platform.
The ideal candidate will hard-working, naturally inquisitive and
teachable, with a strong sense of personal integrity.
In addition, the candidate should possess the following skills:
* Basic computer networking skills, for setting up learning engagements
* Basic programming, preferably in PHP or Java
The position involves one day per week working on distance learning,
with flexible scheduling available.
In addition, every 3 to 6 months the contractor will spend 3 to 5 days
participating in a run of the SENSE simulation. These engagements may
involve travel.
This an optimal work environment for someone who wants to be mentored in
distance learning.
The contract rate for this project is $50 an hour.
