Women's Fuel Filter Changing Workshop, Monday, November 1   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #53 of 171 |
We've been doing fuel filter changing workshops at the
BioFuel Oasis for a while, but we thought it would be
fun to do one just for women. Email us at
biodevas@... if you want to sign up.
Details are below or see our Website:
www.biofueloasis.com.

And mark your calendars for our pump celebration on
Saturday, November 13th, noon - 4pm. Yes, we will
finally be pumping into vehicles (and still selling in
carboys as well). Hooray!

Peace,
Jennifer and SaraHope

FUEL FILTER CHANGING WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN
Monday, November 1, 6-9pm
Free, but donations accepted.
BioFuel Oasis, 2465 4th Street at Dwight, Berkeley

Another hands-on filter changing workshop at the
Oasis, but this one just for women. We'll have you
change your fuel filter so you know exactly how to do
it, but we'll be there to instruct you the whole way.

Email us (biodevas@...) to sign up for
this free workshop. Let us know what kind of car you
have and what time would be convenient for you. We'll
make up a schedule, and send you an email reminder.

What should I bring?
Bring a fuel filter (We sell the Mercedes (1979-1985)
filters. German Auto Salvage on 4th St is a good
place to get a VW one), a couple screwdrivers, and
possibly a clamp or visegrips. You can also just come
and watch.

How do I know it's time to change my fuel filter?
If you've just switched to running 100% biodiesel, we
recommend waiting at least a month or two before
changing your fuel filter. If you've been running
100% biodiesel for months (years?), it's a good thing
to proactively change your fuel filter every 3-6
months, so you don't end up having to do it on the
road. If it's time to change it, ask us to sign up for
this free workshop.

No stinking diesel please...
And please don't have any petro diesel fuel in your
car if you are changing your fuel filter at the
workshop. To insure this, don't run any petro diesel
for at least a week or two before the workshop. We
just don't want to touch or deal with disposing of
toxic diesel fuel.
