This list is primarily for news involving the fire services of the northern New Jersey area, especially the area served by the 130+ member companies of the North Jersey Volunteer Firemen's Association (Bergen County, Essex County, Hudson County, Morris County, and Passaic County). While everyone can view what is posted, membership will need moderator approval due to spammers of an adult nature. Your Yahoo Profile must contain age,location, and fire service interest. Yahoo does not archive attachments so to view them you must be set to email. Files and photos can only be viewed by members who are logged in. Since membership is restricted to fight spam, Yahoo now requires a short message to the list owner when applying, even if it is just one word.

We are proud that President George Heflich of the New Jersey State Firemen's Association is also a vice-president of the North Jersey VFA and that President Bill Egbert of the New Jersey State Exempt Firemen's Association is a personal member. Other personal members include Frank Bocchino, the past longtime NJSFA president.

Upcoming meeting sites in 2009 are: October at Roseland; November at Pine Brook; and December is at Butler.

A Dinner Dance is scheduled for November 21st at The Russian Hall in Little Falls. Tickets are $45 each.

Allendale Fire Department will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary on May 22, 2010, by hosting the North Jersey VFA Parade in which our members will be judged for extra trophies presented by us.
