The current version of OAGi's Development Methodology states:
You must be a member of the Open Applications Group to participate in a Workgroup. It is possible that certain "invited experts" may be allowed when invited by the Workgroup Leader and approved by the OAGi staff or Board of Directors. These "invited experts" must also sign the IP Policy Agreement as all Workgroup members do in order to participate.
All Workgroup members must sign the IP Policy for that Workgroup. The IP Policy is freely available on the OAGi web site at www.openapplications.org.
Any current Workgroup member that wants to continue his/her participation in this project must comply with the following before August 13, 2004.
1. Send WG chair an email with the following information:
Name
Company
Title
Phone
Company Email (you may still use yahoo, hotmail, earthlink, etc. accounts
for signing up to the Yahoo Group)
Emails should be sent to garret.minakawa@...
2. Send signed copy of IP Policy to Open Applications Group, Inc., P.O. Box 4897, Marietta, GA 30061. The IP Policy can be downloaded from the OAGi web site at www.openapplications.org.
Anyone that does not comply with both of these requirements by August 13, 2004 will be removed from this group effective August 14, 2004.
Invited experts will receive an email from the Chair within the next week asking if they would like to continue participation as an invited expert. So far, there are only two invited experts that have been approved.
If you do not receive an invitation from the Chair but feel you qualify as an invited expert, please send an email to garret.minakawa@... with your contact information plus a brief explanation of why you should qualify as an invited expert.
If there are any questions about this, please let me know.
Regards,
garret
