Several people have indicated they would like to join the work group but they need more time to get the OAGi IP Policy through their legal review process.  As a result, I have done the following:
  • Removed all work group members that did not qualify under the new policy.
  • Removed all work group members that did not indicate they would like to continue their membership.
  • Restricted access to all work group members that indicated they would like to join but have not returned a signed copy of the IP Policy
  • Invited new members that indicated they would like to join but have not returned a signed copy of the IP Policy (these members will also be added with restricted access).
An additional 30 days will be provided for members with restricted access to return a signed IP Policy.  Once the 30 days have expired, restricted members will be removed from the work group unless they contact the Chair requesting an extension.

In preparation for the resumption of work group activities, the Files section of the work group site has been reorganized and updated with the latest information.  The file OAGICoreComponentWG-17Aug04.ppt contains a brief status of the project and a list of issues to be discussed at the next work group conference call.  This was presented and discussed at the OAGi F2F meeting in Auburn Hills, MI on August 17-19.

At this point I'm expecting work group conference calls to resume either the week of September 6, or September 20 after the UN/CEFACT Forum.  Please post any preferences for days/times of these conference calls.

Please Note:  We currently have work group members on the West and East coast of the U.S., Western and Northern Europe, and possibly Australia and Japan.  Obviously, no time will be perfect for everyone, but I'll try to select a day/time that works best for a majority of the work group members.

Thanks,

garret
