Postscript to Conference and Seminar reminder   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #24 of 102 |
Dear OBRL-Quarterly Subscribers,

As a "postscript" to the forthcoming OBRL Seminar/Conference reminder (repeated below), here are a few additional points of interest:

1. We are searching for additional small or large cash or equipment donations, for the following specific tasks:

        A.  Plans are drafted to construct an outdoor mini-amphitheater, for outdoor lectures and presentations under the beautiful forest here at the Greensprings Center.  This will allow our presentations to take place truly "out in nature".  However, this will require construction of sitting benches that will survive regular winter snows and summer warmth, as well as a special permanently sited "blackboard" and projector screen.  We estimate the total costs for this project would be $10,000, which would include purchase of a high-intensity digital computer projector, for "powerpoint" type presentations.

        B.  More generally, we are seeking donations of any digital computer projectors which could be used either in our indoor lecture room, or for the planned outdoor amphitheater.  This is in addition to our seeking donations of Macintosh G3, G4 or G5 computer systems -- preferably laptops in working or repairable condition -- for experimental data collection.  We would also consider accepting donations of "windows" type computers of newer-year editions and preferably laptops.  Call us with what you've got sitting on the shelf, or taking up space after you upgrade your own system.

Cash and equipment donations to OBRL are tax-deductible, and a letter for your 2005 tax records would be provided.

2.  One of our student assistants for the summer events is unable to attend, and so that position is once again available.   Student assistants must arrive a week early to help prepare the lab facility for the seminars, and then assist with various experimental demonstrations, and with other tasks during the seminars and conference. A full tuition waiver for the three summer weekend events and Independent Study, plus a place to stay in the student cabin (a primitive living space, similar to summer camp), are offered. Students of any age interested in applying to the assistantship program should contact Dr. DeMeo as soon as possible.  Applicants should be prepared to submit a resume with statement of their interests and background in orgonomy, along with any recent university transcripts plus a letter of recommendation and a photo.

Thanks for your considerations, and below once again is the Conference/Seminar reminder.  I must emphasize the impressive, high-quality and scientific backgrounds of our Conference presenters, who come from across the USA, as well as from Canada, the United Kingdom and Italy.  So if you don't come, you will be missing out on a truly unique event!  Again, this is all New Research material being presented and discussed, by primary researchers in the field of social and experimental orgonomy.  There will be demonstrations at the microscope, as well as various orgone physics demonstrations, either on-going at OBRL, or as organized by the presenters.  Hope you can make it!

Sincerely,

James DeMeo, Ph.D.
Director of OBRL
