The picture to the right is of a half horsepower chain driven Chamberlain garage door motor installed in a roll off roof type observatory.

It also features a wall mountable switch, quick release to disengage roof from motor if power fails, remote control and sensors to stop roof closing if scope is still up.

If only it had an automatic rain sensor as well!
