Re: [OmT] Localization

I'm beginning to try OmegaT and never worked with a Translation
Memory. I will go step by step with the manual doing short german-
spanish translations, probably medical because I get a daily
newsletter from the Journalmed. I also never was involved in a
manual edition or writing.

I think I have a very good feeling, understanding and writing in the
Spanish language and could proofread the manual as I advance I
could check for strange language constructions, note them and give
an alternatives or the correct sentence or paragraph.

I do also technical translations therefore the manual would not be a
difficult challenge for me.

The only thing is that I will be in treatment (no too severe, but time
consuming) for some weeks and there I will not be able to dedicate
too much time to it, but then I will be an hour per day or more as I
go on learning how to use OmegaT.

Ah, another thing. I have an old Intel machine with Kubuntu 9.04
and a msi vr630 AMD64 laptop. On both computers I will have
OmegaT, but I only can get the 1.8 version while I see that most of
you have the 2.xx version. Is the first version better to work with or
the latter? If the answer is the last, then, how to get this last version?

Cordially,

Manfred
